The following morning, the news of Alpha Bashir’s trial with the high guards had spread across the kingdom. The Lycans were curious to know what could have happened and they were well within their rights. This wasn’t something they would pretend hadn’t worried them one bit. They had a guest among diem and yet somehow the guest had decided to be pyromaniac and fuck them up a little. Sure, it didn’t turn them as much seeing as they had Miroslav. But the idea in itself was crude and annoying. They needed to make sure that that she didn’t happen again. It may have been cruel and dangerous, but someone had to pay the price of ruining their day, right?

“Are you ready for this?” Heion asked Hara who was Saigon with him and Viktor in the open courtroom. Unlike the usual judgments that were passed in the throne room earlier, this one was going to be open, for all Lycans to hear and see for themselves what a joke the alpha and his father were. This was a hit show and it was meant to humiliate the two wolves in the worst of what’s possible. That much had been obvious yesterday when the king and the queen had declared that they wouldn’t even come to the trial.
That was a dangerous thing, because without the king and with Hrion and Viktor, the Lycans could actually go berserk and stone the two wolves out of sight. They could tear through the wolves and no one would shoot them, not even Kara. Everyone here was pissed and they were well within their rights to do so. Funny how even with the tension, the king had insisted that Bashir and his father stay in the guest rooms in the palace. It was like he was telling them that they were no longer a threat, no matter what they did.
They were hated by Miroslav so much and that was clearly getting even more obvious when Heion stared at the Lycan high guards like they were planning on making Bashir roll on the mud. Granted, the days were a little okay with slow winds and not too much sun, but making a muddy puddle in the middle of the kingdom wasn’t exactly a hard thing for the Lycans who were more than ready to use their magic to conjure rain from the skies. That was how badly they were pissed with the alpha and his father.
“Of course. I still don’t understand what their reasons we’re through. The wine was since to him. She cared for him, even though they kept bickering with Miro, she was good to him so this just didn’t even make any sense. Why ruin the trial for her? Why try to make it seem like Drescher was behind this? What did he stand to gain? And with the treaty done, I am starting to think that it was a trap. I trust Miro but then he is preoccupied. He is still in denial about Polina. Everything is just happening a little too fast and there isn’t even a chance to take a breather,” Kara said all in one breath, making Heroin and *Viktor stare at her softly.
They understood her and they knew that this wasn’t exactly going to be easy for the three of them. Sure, they were the mischievous lot of the friend group, but why were they also the most unhinged of them all? It was like they only ever functioned on violence and the idea of punching the alpha and his father into the ground was starting to seem like a pretty good idea. It was crazy with everything happening, but what else could they do? They had to be patient and pretend. At least just for the trial. They would pretend to be mature adults and not the mischievous children in adult bodies that the king had always let them be.
“What’s taking them so long?” Viktor asked, not appreciating the wait. The people who were to try were traitors and with the entire kingdom waiting for them, there was no reason for them to even be delaying like that. It was insane how they had done this shit, but this had to be done, patience had to be exercised and they needed to be on the same page,

Heion hated waiting and the fact that he had a bad feeling about this, made him even more intolerable. He knew he had no reason to doubt and he knew that the kingdom was fortified and set up to keep the alpha and his father in regardless of what they did but still, it made the enforcer feel any better. They should have come out by now, but then maybe the wolves were anxious. The Lycan kingdom waiting for a bunch of wolves who had disrespected them wasn’t expecting something that he needed to think twice about. This was damning, but hey, they were assigned the case, right?
“Maybe we should go check before the Lycans begin getting antsy. It would be hard to do crowd control and we might need to wake Miro up. They both deserve to get one rest at this point really.
