Chapter 97
IMIROSLAVI
I have to leave now, Askim,” the Lycan king, Miroslav, whispered to his erasthai who was clinging to him on their bed. They had gone to bed late last night after the fiasco he and the warriors had created, but it had all been smiles and encouragement the entire time. Here and now, the Lycan queen was still asleep, her head resting on the king’s arm that had been hugging her in her sleep. Her hand was snaked around the king’s waist like she was not ready to let go yet. She couldn’t be blamed because the white flags had long been burnt and right now, there would be war. The kind of war that would show no mercy
to anyone.
“Ngh.” Queen Ralphine responded as she snuggled closer to her husband, Even in her sleepy state, she wasn’t ready to let go just yet. Sure, he knew the king couldn’t die, but that didn’t make it all any more comforting. Her husband would be away from home and out for war while she would be left in the kingdom to make sure things were alright here.

“The sooner I go, the sooner I will be back, askim, Miro said as he kissed his mate’s forehead. He loved staying this close to her and he hoped that he would truly be back soon to spend more time with her and the rest of his life loving her.
“Five more minutes,” Ralph whispered as she snuggled closer and Miro chuckled, holding her.
“Alright baby, five more minutes,” the king said.
Thirty minutes later, it was nearing dawn and Miro had to get up. There were a lot of things that he needed to do and the longer he stayed in bed with his very beautiful erasthai, the longer they were giving Drescher a chance to fuck them up even more. This wasn’t supposed to be easy and they both knew it. Perhaps that was why when Miro got out of bed Ralph didn’t y to hold him back anymore. They had to figure this out as soon as possible and make sure that they didn’t have to spend the rest of their lives focusing on one man alone.
“Make sure you bring him back to me,” Ralph said to Heion and Viktor when they opened the door to the King’s chambers to let the king know that they were ready too. It wasn’t going to be an easy one, but an immortal king was someone they would use so well for the mission, right?
“Yes, Your Majesty,” Heion said this time, there were no traces of mischief in his or Viktor’s eyes.
“Alright, and you all take care. Make sure we don’t have to deal with Drescher again, alright?” Ralph said before adding, “Once you kill him, please bring me his body. I need to see for myself that he is dead.”
The Lycan king looked at his mate, wondering what this could mean. At first glance it seems to be very simple, a request by a mate who had been haunted by Drescher for so long, but deep down, Miro could tell that there was more to this. He could
go and ask tell that his mate had a different agenda and while he was very curious about it for the moment, he had to let about it later, when they were done with the hunt and the body was there for them to figure out, yeah?
“Of course, as you wish, askim. As you wish. Stay safe, my beautiful,” Miroslav said earnestly, as he walked back to her, and kissed her passionately one more time, before the throne of them left. Kara was also leaving, but she didn’t come to say goodbye to the queen because she didn’t need to screw with her mind. She hadn’t figured out the cases yet, and she couldn’t be a danger to the queen. Now that she was leaving, she couldn’t let Drescher use her to fuck u the Lycan queen. Besides, she had held out for long so there was no point in screwing that up at the moment, right?

With their goodbyes complete, the king and his three most trusted warriors set out to hunt Drescher Volkov. The Lycan warriors had been in shock when the king told them that they had to stay behind and keep the kingdom safe. They had been hoping to be the ones who helped the king take out Drescher, but then maybe the king had his reasons beside me. It was easier to be accountable for four people rather than a thousand whose loyalties could be unwillingly corrupted. With the four of them, it would be easier for them to make camps and ensure that everything was just alright with them all.
“This feels so damn good. It’s been a while since we went out of Amsonia for battle,” Viktor said excitedly, like they weren’t going up against a battalion that had inanities. But then again all of that didn’t matter because the four of them were the best of Asmoria. If Polina had been there with them, they would have been the five best, but right now, they were on their way to

get answers and get vengeance for their fallen warriors. They wouldn’t forgive Drescher come hell or high water. At least that. much was obvious,
“I never knew there were mosquitoes at dawn, Heion whined as his friends galloped beside him on their horses. They had been riding in silence for a while now and even then the skies were still dark. Sure, they weren’t scared of anything, but then the winds blowing against them, and the apparent imosquitoes that Heion had started feeling on his skin.
You said you were too strong Hei, what happened to the strongest man alive and made out of steel?” Miro teased and they all burst out laughing as they galloped towards the Koslov pack. They were going to meet with the alpha there to determine what the fuck had happened and why Drescher had chosen to target the Belyaeva girl. Maybe it is typical of them to go after the start of it all, but then this was the same black they would consider flattering because of how harshly they had treated the Belyaeva girl and her family. But then that would be something for the future.
One thing at a time, Miroslav had sworn to his queen. He would piece everything back and give his erasthai the peace of mind, and he wouldn’t stop until his dearest Erasthai had gotten all the answers she was seeking the same answers that Miro had promised he would find for her. He was, after all, the one person who could get them with ease, no matter how difficult the mission was for them. They could have gone through the portals, but they needed to be on the lookout for anything that was suspicious. Sure, the domes in Asmoria would keep the kingdom safe, but they still had to make sure that they studied everything on their way. Perhaps they were hoping to run into Drescher but would it be that easy when the man had managed to get out of the fire cage in the lonely dungeons?
“Mosquitoes are bitches, that’s what,” Heion complained when they saw the gates of Koslov in the distance, They had been fast. Way too fast which was probably because they had the fastest horses in the kingdom. They were well–trained and the best at everything that they had learned.
“For people with audacity, that gate looks ugly as shit. What the fuck do they even hope… To keep out with that?” Kara asked, the disappointment in her voice obvious as she looked at the gates of the Koslov pack.
The last time they had been here they never once bothered to check what color the gate was or even the color of that shit, they had come for their wine and they had found her and taken her home. Of course, they had killed a few wolves, but then that was Drescher’s fault, wasn’t it?
“Yeah, they got some balls. Makes me wonder how the fuck the alpha got to be the brother who sat on the throne and still get to mess his brother’s family like that. I thought family was supposed to be one and the same. They had to be some level of fucked if the older brother chose to take his wife’s name,” King Miroslav said disappointedly as they stared at the gates of Koslov. He still couldn’t believe that that shit show had really taken place. This reminded him of what Bashir or rather the fake Bashir had spoken, and frankly, Miro thought there was a truth to that. Fuck there was a lot they would have to work around with this damned pack, eh?
He had been waiting for this chance since the moment he had left Koslov with his askim in his hands. He had carried his frail wife and the fear of everything wrong happening to his unmarked erasthai by then had broken his heart. He had sworn a different kind of wrath for this pack’s leaders and he would make sure to see to it. Well maybe today was it, right?
“Will we wait for them to wake up or will we pop up in their office?” Heion asked, the idea of breaking a few werewolf necks exciting him even more.
They were all beasts that had seen the fate of their queen and they had wanted to pay back that tenfold. They would fight to make them feel what Ralph had felt that night especially when her parents had been wrongly convicted of betraying the pack. The stakes the Belyaevas had been burned at would soon be home for others and Miro was going to make certain of it. Now that they were here, the only person who stood between them and their rage for Koslov was the Lycan king, but seeing how things are at the moment, there was no denying that they could probably flatten Koslov before the sun came up.
“I vote we wake them up with a burning house. That should be the first of their karma for what they did to our queen,” Viktor said as he stared at Koslov. There was nothing beautiful about this pack and the fact that it was this ugly and still managed to have bullies, was beyond them. Compared to Asmoria, Koslov was ten times smaller, which could probably explain the confusion the warrior was having. Well, he was about to be shocked even more.
“Today we will be civilized. That is also why we are going to study the Koslov borders and when the sun comes up, we will walk in there like the visitors we are meant to be,” the Lycan king said much to the displeasure of his friends. They knew he had a point, but still, they had wanted to make an appearance and traumatize them one more time. Then again, deep down,

Chapter 07
Miro wanted to give the Koslov children a chance to wake up normally. He had seen his Ralph was with the children and he felt like his queen wouldn’t appreciate it if she heard that he snapped at children who knew nothing of the pack.
Humanity Miroslav was a force to be reckoned with because there was no telling what he would do. Here and now, he was being kind and wanted to make sure that no child was traumatized. If this were him before he met Ralph, all the cruel ideas that Heion, Viktor, and Kara had suggested would have been put to use. He would have enjoyed every bit of it all and boy would it have been messy. But then Miro was trying to practice being good and show he had been reformed. He was trying to be rational and his friends could see that too. Sure, they were disappointed that they wouldn’t be going in rowdy, but they trusted Miro and they trusted that he knew what was best for them.
“Great, no horses, right?” Kara said and the boys looked at each other like they hadn’t quite considered that. However, from the look that Kara was giving them. They knew that if they went with their horses, their little patrol would fail because the warriors at the border would see them, not to mention smell the Asmoria out of them. And then they would be alerted and screwed, which wasn’t what they were aiming for today.
“No horses, shall we?” the king said as they began the adventure that could prove either best for them or have them changing faces and shifting into the beasts that they were known as. Hopefully, they kept their humanity close, right?
