Chapter 99
IMIROSLAV)
At the older Alpha’s voice, the Lycans stopped and waited to hear what it was that the alpha had for them. They had been hoping to see the man with the possible answer and now that they saw Alpha Rykov, they were brought back to the harsh reminder that Drescher Volkov could have been stopped and yet they had done nothing. Instead, they all had enabled Drescher’s madness and encouraged the insanity of what he had done over the years to the point that he was now obsessed with the Lycan queen, a woman clearly off limits for Every creature alive or dead.
“We need information and what better place to get it than the source of the madness, right?” the Lycan king asked as he looked at the alpha who was trying his best not to freak out at the sight before him. It was too early to have Miroslav Ibrahimovich in his pack and frankly, he was doing a good job at it. Of course, anyone who looked at him could simply assume that this was just a regular meeting with the king of madness, but if they listened closer they could hear the frantic heartbeats of the alpha. Well, he couldn’t exactly be blamed for being like that. It wasn’t daily that the alpha woke up to the crazies at his door, with smiles on their faces like this was just some meet and greet for him and the Lycans.
“Information on what?” Alpha Rykov asked, as his son Rykar joined him, wondering what the fuck he had done to get these four at his doorstep. maybe they were here for peace, seeing as they looked unarmed and didn’t have the faces of men who had come to battle. But then they had interacted with these four enough times to know they were studying the situation in Koslov and were trying to figure out when they could attack. Sure, they were here with an army, but these four were the equivalent of the entire Lycan army, and boy was that army huge.
“Ah… Just the right person to give us the answers. Good morning Rykar. Won’t you invite us in, or do you want your people tensed up when they wake up to see us here flaking like this? I wouldn’t mind, but I doubt your people would think the same of everything else,” King Miroslav said to alpha Rykov who looked around them to see the wolves staring curiously. There was obvious tension because of what had happened the last time these Lycans were here but then that didn’t seem to be a problem for Miroslav because he could spend the entire day standing there and not complaining about it one bit.
“Dammit… Come along. The pack house is this way,” Alpha Rykov begrudgingly said to the four Lycans as he led the way. His son was still confused as to why they were here but a part of alpha Rykar could tell that Thai had to be because of Drescher. But then at the same time, they had sent information asking for the Lycan queen to come home and learn about her stake in the power dynamics of Koslov. Perhaps that was truly why the mad King was here with his insane warriors, right?
“This is going to be a lot of fun for all of us,” Heion said as he winked at a few warriors who were standing on guard, as if that was supposed to make the Lycans fear for their lives. Well, whatever happened today would determine a lot of things for
them.
The Koslov alpha’s office looked like any other boring office. There were files all over and from what they could see, it was all about Drescher. Clearly, the man had fucked their lives too, but that didn’t matter to Miroslav. He was here for vengeance; he was here to make sure that no stone was left unturned. Maybe he was being a cruel king, but he had a queen who was still haunted by the horrors she had gone through in the hands of this damned pack.
This place was supposed to be home for his wife, a place where she felt safe and protected, a place where young wolves like her should have felt like they didn’t have to run and hide from anyone, and yet they had been the worst of places for her. They had done shit to her that she had never spoken of, but with his mind–reading abilities, Miroslav knew, which was also why his rage was raw for this pack and he wouldn’t settle for anything less than the agony of everyone who caused his beautiful wife so much pain.
“You asked our queen to come to Koslov and she sent us here instead. She is quite busy organizing the Lycan kingdom. We have learned a little humanity in her hands so she sent us here to behave well. So, go on, tell us what it was that you wanted to tell the Lycan queen. I bet it’s got to be very interesting, right?” the Lycan king said às he made himself comfortable and his warriors followed. They were going to milk whatever this was and they wouldn’t stop until they were done. It didn’t matter that Koslov would be flattered by then, because the only thing these people deserved was anger and fire for the pain they had caused the Belyaeva girl and her family.
“Oh yeah. We wanted to acknowledge the mistake we made when we murdered her parents at the stake. The intel we got was wrong and we cost her peace and her sanity. It isn’t exactly every child’s dream to not grow up with their parents and we made that happen to her a year ago. I was hoping to make amends with her,” Alpha Rykov said as he looked at the Lycans.

Chapter 99
He knew this was an admission of guilt and wrong persecution at what else could he do? He had done his homework on Ralphine Belyaeva and when he heard of the king’s commitmen to right all the wrongs that had been done to Ralph, he had tried to fix it all in the hope that all would be fine. He was trying to get ahead of the situation and yet here he was, with the king staring at him with eyes in slits. It was like they had just stepped on chartered territory and only mercy could save them all. But who was to ask for that mercy on their behalf when the Lycans were raging silently?
“You destroyed the life of a little girl, because of bad intel??? You made me watch you ruin an entire family in the name of consequences for betraying the pack, and going against the Lyc Kingdom, and waited an entire year for you to admit that what you did was wrong that your decision to make the girl an orphan was a desperate attempt to keep the accords with Asmoria active? What the fuck man?” Viktor asked angrily. He had been there that day and he had seen first–hand how off everything had been.
Sure, he had his suspicions, but he didn’t want to get involved in it, because he knew how politics worked. That time he had assumed that the parents had taken the blame because Alpha Rykov had promised to take care of their child, but even then they had failed in that. They had let the girl leave and be in the hands of the most dangerous king to ever live. If King Miroslav hadn’t found out that the girl was his crasthai, there were very high chances that he would have killed her on sight, given he had been irritable the entire week. That shit pissed Viktor off and he couldn’t believe them. What the hell were they even trying to do at the moment?
“We-” Rykar began and Kara let out a frustrated growl that shock the entire pack house.
Well, so much for peace, yeah?
