Without thinking, Lenora instinctively took out her phone to snap a picture.

“What if I don’t delete it?” Lenora crossed her arms, staring at Zephyr. “Zephyr, you already have a girlfriend, so why are you still bothering Sophia? Do you want her to be the other woman? Don’t you know how much she despises mistresses?”

Zephyr took a deep breath and said, “I have no connection with this woman. She’s the one who’s been clinging to me.”

“Yes, there is someone, so it’s impossible for us to be together. I advise you to give up sooner rather than later.”
Alice’s face stiffened momentarily before she abruptly turned to look at him. “Who is it?”
Zephyr, however, paid no further heed to her, striding back into the private room.
Alice gritted her teeth.
I clearly heard Caesare explaining to Fay, claiming he has no relationship with me whatsoever. That means he must have feelings for her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bothered explaining to her.
Alice swiftly called Isla.
Isla stealthily slipped out of the private room before answering her phone. “Alice, how did it go? What did Caesare say?”
It was only because Isla had tipped off Alice today that Alice knew Zephyr was here.
Alice lowered her head, a look of disappointment crossing her face. Heartbroken, she said, “He told me he’s in love with someone else and that he will never be with me.”
“That’s impossible.”
“It’s true.”
“But all these years, I’ve never seen him treating any woman in any special way.”
“I saw that woman. Just now, I personally witnessed Caesare stopping her and explaining the situation to her, probably afraid that she might misunderstand.” Alice sighed, feigning strength. “Isla, let it be. If he doesn’t like me, then he just doesn’t. I think I’m ready to give up.”
“No, you mustn’t give up! You’re the daughter–in–law my parents have chosen, my future sister–in–law. Rest assured, my parents will never acknowledge those nobodies and allow them to marry into the Wilson family.”

“He will. Do you know the name of the woman he likes? What does she look like?”
“All I know is that it’s a Clusian woman named Fay, a friend of Bella’s. She must have recently come to Muprary. Didn’t Caesare just visit Clusia not too long ago?”

There was no need to pause and think about it. Isla was certain it was the same woman she knew.
