Chapter 2
One Condition-
“What a barren woman,” Arya managed to say amidst her trembling, shackled voice, the word felt like a neerlle piercing. Arya’s heart.
Her heart hurt so badly. “Is this what this is all about,” she asked, Haring into the eyes of her husband, who held no flick of remorse for his utterances- like he intentionally wanted to hurt her with his words.
“Oh Arya, it is no news that you are barren and can’t bear a child for my darling love, Jane blurted out instantly, a satirical look laced on her.
“Stop looking for ways out of your misery, embrace it! After all whores do not birth” Jane said, accentuating the word whores.
“Or do they?” She asked, chuckling a bit.
Indeed, Arya could not birth a child of her own! Six months into her marriage with Alberto, she was diagnosed with PCOS with zero percent of birthing a child of her ownl

Arya never hides her medical condition from her husband and best friend, whom she acknowledges Jane as family. She informed Alberto of her health challenges, who assured her that his love for her had not changed, whether with a child or not.
But the tables have turned. It turns out that it mattered to him. Despite knowing her health condition, he is using it against her, hurting Arya’s feelings vastly.
Like the Betrayal was enough, he calls her barren!
Arya clenched her fist, trying to resist the urge blinded to shut her guts.

“You thought I could not find out how you lived your life before I got married to you. Sleeping with all kinds of men undergoing a series of abortions for them that got your womb damaged,
You lied to me! Faking a medical report that you have PCOS and you expect me to fathom that pathetic lie of yours,” Alberto spurts out in a cold, unfeeling tone, his voice almost on the verge of yelling.
“You must be bluffing,” he snorted with a hostile look.
and
“You have just few hours to sign these papers and get the hell out of my house,” his voice domineering, sounding different from what Arya knew, as he stood on his feet and gestured to leave with his lover.
Jane draws him back Alberto making him halt in his pace, “No baby, one day is such a long time, she has to sign it now tane objects abruptly, her shrill voice dripping with mockery, as she glances over at Arya who sat down motionless.
“I will sign the papers but on one condition,” Arya said, making the two love birds‘ attention focused on her
Jane chuckles lightly, all that matters to her is for Arya to divorce Alberto. It did not matter what the condition was. However, Alberto’s face grimmer with a frown as Arya’s demands for a condition.
“What is the condition?” Alberto asked in a husky voice, freeing his hands from Jane’s grip as he shoved his hands into his pocket–with a cold aura hovering around him.
“All your properties have to be shared, my money was used in acquiring all you have now, I deserve some percentage,”

Alberto chuckles out land; his little laughter reverberating the whole room. He picks up a glass of whiskey that was laced on the table and grips it down.
“Are you planning to throw me into the empty streets?” Arya asked in a defiant voice.
“I am sorry Mrs. Arya that can not be possible, it states here that all his properties were acquired before he got married to you,” the lawyer who had been sitting for a while utters
Are yo
you not hallucinating. Arya? You came into my home with nothing but your pieces of clothes and you are leaving with nothing but that,”
Alberto said in a condensed voice, with a stoic facial expression.
“Pathetic.” Jane mumbles, as she giggles inwardly.
Arya arched a brown and smirked vilely at herself. She had been fool all the while.
How long have they been together? Why does he have to hurt her like this? Did she go wrong by loving this man? What did she ever do to Jane to deserve this Betrayal from her, that she slept with her husband?
Is this how people are, using your love and kindness against you only to repay you with nothing but Betrayal and heartache? These questions lingered in Arya’s mind unanswered.
Arya groaned in excruciating pain as the Betrayal went straight into her heart. “I promise, you are going to regret ever losing me! Alberto,” She picked up the pen, as she signed her name on the column provided for her signature Arya Greenwood: Happiness curled on Jane’s lips as she watched Arya’s hand move on the papers.
Tears broke free from Arya tear buds, as she scoffed, realization dawning on her that her husband was leaving her nothing or will she say her ex–husband now..
Arya’s four years of marriage went down the drill in a blink of an eye.
