Chapter 7
-Surprise One-
Arya did not say a word to Lilia. One thing was sure to Arya, they saw her as an obstacle that needed to be removed.
“You think you can walk in, and take what belongs to me? Lilia questioned, with a dreadful glare at Arya, who stood staring at her with an unreadable expression Laced on her face.
“A quick advice for you, Lila blurted, pointing her finger at Arya directly to her eye, but Arya made no move, neither did she
blink.
“You better go back to the slums where you belong, but if you persist in staying here, I’m going to make it a living hell for
“You are going to wish you never stepped foot into this house, you imposter? Lila threatened, her voice frosty, laced with meanness, with a stoic face.
“I don’t think that will ever happen,” Arya declared in a firm voice, as she turned away taking a few steps from Lilia.
When she abruptly stopped and turned her gaze to Cassandra, “Aren’t you going to show me to my room?” Arya asked, as Cassandra walked to her front in a fast–paced movement, leading the way, leaving Lilia dumbfounded, as she wondered where the imposter had gotten her confident demeanor from.
Arya swore never to be below anyone again, she was never going to answer to anyone or let them trample and bully her as they pleased, not even her supposed sister or stepmother would get the chance to.
Arya was determined to show them that she was not the pushover they assumed she was.
“Mom! Do not tell me you are just going to sit down and do nothing about this. Am about to lose the company, the company that is supposed to be mine, to a mere commoner, an imposter that came out from nowhere,” Lilia shrieked, frustration evident in her voice, as she poured out her dismay to her mom
“Just calm down Lilia, we just need to do something about it and take sure you become the winner, okay! Mrs. Grace said, assuring her daughter of the best outcome.
But how mum? Did you not see the look on her face? She seems more confident than I am, “Lilia blurted out angrily, sitting down on the couch with her arms crossed against her chest.
If only you had shown little interest in the company or perhaps pretended to, I am sure he would not have gone in search of the imposter,” Mrs. Grace said.
Lilia scoffs, “So you are blaming me now?” Lilia asked in a scornful voice.
“Well, I’m not blaming you,”
*Then what mom? What are you doing.” Lilia yells, abruptly curing off her mom urter utterances, who stares at her in bewilderment.
“Can you calm down Lilia, Mrs. Grace shouted at the top of her voice, hitting her thighs with her hands, her frustration evident in her demeanor, as Lilia gave her a long aggrieved stare
“I’m trying to figure something out here, and you aren’t helping matters,” Mrs. Grace said, as she tried lacing her back on the large sofa she sat on when suddenly Lilia’s voice took her off guard.
That’s it, Mom, you are not figuring anything out,” Lilia blurted out in rage, intently pointing at her mom.

“You are just trying to shove, everything to face, indirectly telling me that I’m incompetent, and the reason why Dad brought back that imposter,” Lilia declared, in an unfriendly tone, abruptly standing up, in angry steps she climbed the stairs, making her way up to her room without sparing her mother another glance.
“Come back here Lilia, you dare not walk out on me.” Mrs. Grace shouted in a commanding voice, but Lilia ignored, slamming the doors of her room, making sure her mom heard.
In Arya’s room
Arya stepped into the room. She gasped with her mouth wide open as she had not seen anything like it.
Aking–sized bed that could contain about four persons, by the side was a wardrobe in white and blue stripes, filled with different kinds of designer clothes, and shoes, that she had yearned for, that her ex–husband had not gotten for her, despite being a caring wife, were all packed at the bottom of the wardrobe.
A look at it she could tell that those clothes and shoes were exactly her size.
Next to the wardrobe was a bathroom thrice as half of her room, with glass blinds.
At the center of the room lay a round blue couch that looks like a chair and mini–bed at the same time.
At the adjacent of the room was a glass door that laid to the balcony outside the room, which gave the view of the whole city at a glance
“Is this my room?” Arya asked, remembering that Cassandra had been standing right behind her all the while she admired the beautiful aura and scenery of her room, decorated in White and Royal blue.
“Yes ma…………
“Everything you need is in the wardrobe, by the side, is a new phone with a new number, need my service, you can put a call through, my number is saved already in the emergency caller 10. Cassandra informed and turned to leave.
“Wait Cassandra!. “Arya halted her abruptly.
“I need you to do something for me,” Arya said, taking time to stafe at Cassandra to read her facial expressions which held no emotions, but a straightforward face was what she could see.
“I am always at your beck and core, my Lady,” Cassandra replied in assurance, awaited Arya’s command.
her r face laced with raw emotions, as she
“I need every detailed information on someone,” Arya said, as she gestured to the bed, sitting on the edge, and swiftly darted her gaze
back to Cassandra.
“Who is that? My lady,” Cassandra asked, as Arya’s gaze met hers
“I need detailed information on Jane Ramos and those around her.”
*Every single piece of information, and most especially on her art gallery show. How did she manage to achieve all that she had now, can I trust you with such a task?” Arya asked, arching her brow at Cassandra.
“Yes, ma!” Cassandra replied curtly.
“Feel free to trust me with any task, I’m always at your service,” Cassandra affirmed to Arya in a confident voice.
“Alright, that’s good! You can go now,” Arya said with a faint nod
Cassandra swiftly left the room, calmly shutting the doors behind her.

Arya opened the glass door that led to the balcony outside her room, which was decorated with different kinds of ornament around the edges, which captivated her eyes.
Her hands rested on the silver rail, staring into the bright night of the city, which was filled with lights.
“You are not dreaming Arya, this is reality,” she said to herself, her voice a bit loud, as she closed her eyes, the cool breeze of the night brushed over her face, and she drew in a deep breath.
Arya Dankworth,” Arya muttered her natte, a smile as beautiful as the star in the night of the cloud, and mischievous at the same time, escaped her lips.
“Ma, the Dankworths already replied, the center will be rented out to us, for six million dollars,” Mia reported to Jane, whose hands supported her face, massaging her temples in exhaustion
Do we have a choice? Just make sure that everything goes according to plan and there are no mistakes, Jane warns in a strong voice, abruptly turning with an unfeeling gaze at Mia.
Mia slowly nodded and turned to leave.
“And what about the painting? Hope it is going well. Jane asked, standing up on her feet, and walking towards Mia, wh frozen at the spot at Jane’s question.
“Yes ma,” Mia responded in a frightful voice, intently staring at the floor, picking on the tip of her fingers in anxiety, Jane placed her finger on Mia’s chin, raising her face to meet hers. She stares into Mia’s eyes, with an unwavering gaze. “Everything needs to be perfect Mia, there should not be mistakes with the painting, you know what’s at stake here?” Jane asked, intently staring into Mia’s eyes.
“Yes ma,” Mia responded in a faint voice, nodding profusely like a puppy under her master’s spell, as drops of tears fell from her eyes, flowing down to her cheek.
“Good, you can go, Jane commands, walking towards her table picking up the glass of red wine, and gushing it down her throat at once, exhaling a deep breath.
“My lady, this is the information on Jane Ramos and her Art studio, Cassandra said, handing over the files to Arya, who was sitting working on a project in the study corner of her room.
Arya flips through the file given to her, a smirk etched on her lips
“She is still as malicious as she has been,” Arya said, with a disheartened heart, her voice instantly weakened, as her past hurtful memories of Jane and Alberto flowed through her mind.
“When is the exhibition, “Arya asked, her eyes still fixed on the papers, gulping it tightly with her hands.
“In the next two hours, my lady, Cassandra replied curtly like she was expecting the question
“We need to be there, right?” Arya asked, narrowing her gaze to Cassandra.
“She sent an invitation to the Dankworths, your father refused to honor it,” Cassandra said, handing over the invitation to Arya.
“I will honor it. Her invitation card seems nice, She got quite a taste,” Arya mumbles, tossing the invitation card on her study
table.
