After hanging up, I went out, and Wanda was still there, chatting with Grant. His face was still gloomy. After a long pause, he brought up that thing again.
“You finished with your friend? Change that tag, now.”
I glanced at him, surprised. He did care, didn’t he? His wolf was now displaying a remarkable possessiveness toward me,
but I was no longer moved by it. I nodded, but he didn’t know what I was really thinking about. Grant took it as an agreement and relaxed, which was observed by Wanda.
Her expression changed. She didn’t expect Grant to mind it so much. He loved her. She had realized.
“It’s still early. Rosie, Grant, let me take you out to dinner and a movie. Thank you for being there for me.”
I knew why Wanda made that suggestion: to tell me how nice Grant was to her.
I refused. First, I didn’t want to be a part of this game. Second, I had a lot of things to do. But Wanda wouldn’t give up. With a sad expression, she turned to Grant.
“Rosie’s still mad at me, right? I was being too selfish and stupid… Rosie, I’m sorry.”
She began to cry, making Grant sorry for her. Then, he cast a disapproving look at me.
I sighed. If I refused, Wanda would cry, and I’d be the bad guy. So, I reluctantly agreed.
It was dinner time, so we went to a restaurant. It was a seafood restaurant. In the private room, I looked at Grant.
He avoided my gaze, looking at Wanda with tenderness as she ordered. He should feel guilty. He knew I was allergic to seafood, still, he agreed to come here only because Wanda loved seafood. My wolf snarled inside, the bitter jealousy stirring. HOW COULD YOU CARE FOR HER MORE THAN YOU EVER DID FOR ME! YOU ABANDONED ME!
I only had water, while Wanda enjoyed the shrimp Grant had shelled for her. She looked at me, puzzled.
“Rosie, it’s delicious. Why don’t you try some?”
I smirked, about to speak, when Grant changed the subject. Another plate of shrimp was placed before Wanda. She thanked him shyly, forgetting about me.
After dinner, Wanda dragged us to the cinema and chose a horror movie. It was also her plan. “Aaah!” Wanda screamed repeatedly, grabbing Grant’s hand, crying that she was scared. Eventually, she hid in his arms.
Grant hesitated, wanting to push her away, but seeing her tears, and thinking of her father, he didn’t. He saw me looking at them and tried to explain, but I turned away, continuing to watch
the movie.

He called me by my nickname, but I ignored him, so he continued to comfort Wanda. I laughed bitterly inside. That is not my alpha.
