As soon as Ash turned around to walk away, Calvert grabbed her by the arm. The former wanted to keep walking, but her arm felt like it was going to be dislocated.
Calvert did not actually pull very hard. It was the angle.
When Calvert heard Ash’s painful groan, he immediately let go. A trace of fret flashed between his brows. “Are you alright?”
Ash gritted her teeth and glared at him fiercely. “Hey, what exactly do you want? You can’t attack me just because we are at the entrance of the hospital, right? Also, if you really want to start a fight, do it head–on. It is not the act of gentleman at all to launch a sneak attack from behind.” Ash rubbed her shoulder, and pain could be seen on her face.
Calvert frowned slightly and said apologetically, “I did not do it on purpose. I just wanted to say that I have something for you. And honestly, it may be better if you go and check your arm.”
When Ash saw the guilt on his face, she was not that angry anymore. “Forget it. It is nothing. If you had used a little more force, I might have to really register myself as a patient.”

Ash shook her head. “Forget it. I am fine, and I am not that fragile. Go ahead and leave. I need to see someone.”

Ash pulled her mother’s hand. “Ignore him. It is nothing. He said that he has things to attend to and needed to go. He will leave after walking me to the hospital entrance.”
Ash deliberately raised her voice, hoping that Calvert would know his place and not pester her.
“Calvert, are you going to be busy later?” Brooke asked.
Calvert’s long and narrow eyes met Brooke’s clear and lively eyes. He pondered for a few seconds and nodded. “I am going to the company later.”
When Ash heard this, the way she looked at Calvert became slightly friendlier. “See? You heard it yourself. Since he has something on, let’s not hold him anymore. Let’s go.”
