“Dad, don’t be mad. Jewel came to see if there was anything she could do to help us. After all, she knows a lot of people now. maybe she really can…” said Samantha
“What can she do for me?” Dexter was so anxious he was almost ready to tear his hair out. At that moment, he couldn’t listen to anything he was convinced that Ash had come just to mock him. Otherwise, why didn’t she approach me privately instead of in front of the whole company?‘
Ash hadn’t expected the Moreno family to be so stubborn. She pursed her lips tightly and gave him a cold glance. “Since you don’t need any help, I’ll leave then. Don’t say I didn’t warn you?”
Ash had no patience to argue with such unreasonable people.
As soon as she stepped out of the company, she took out her phone and made a call. “Pull out the investment! And while you’re at it, withdraw the Ford family’s shares too.”
If both families were going to act this tough, then there was no need for her intervention.
That evening, she met Bailey at a bar.
No sooner had Ash sat down than Bailey, who had arrived early, showed her her phone. “Have you seen the news? Tristan’s father publicly called off Tristan and Samantha’s engagement. Do you think Samantha is crying right now?”
Mentioning this, Bailey’s face lit up with delight. She snorted derisively, gritting her teeth. “I always said those two deserved a lesson. If I hadn’t been working late that day, I would have given Samantha a piece of my mind.”
Ash took a sip of her drink and slightly curled the corner of her mouth. “Don’t worry. Your chance for revenge is still coming…
Hearing this, Bailey’s eyes sparkled with interest as she leaned in closer to Ash. “What else are you keeping under wraps?” Ash smiled without answering. The more she stayed silent, the more curious Bailey became, practically clinging to her. “Come on, Ash, tell me. Sharing joy is a double joy…
“You really know how to wear me down.” Ash said and then whispered something into Bailey’s ear.
Whatever she said made Bailey burst into laughter. Bailey leaned back in relief but accidentally kicked over the table with her raised foot, causing all the drinks to spill.
The commotion quickly drew the attention of others nearby, including Calvert, who had just entered the bar.
His eyes narrowed when he spotted Ash.
“Do you know her?” his companion Dwayne Craig noticed Calvert’s expression and asked.
Unexpectedly, Calvert immediately averted his gaze and nonchalantly replied, “No”
Watching him leave, Dwayne instinctively glanced toward Ash again.
Ever in the dim light of the bar, he could still make out Ash’s presence.
Her chestnut curls cascaded freely down her back, and her delicate features were striking without being overtly glamorous; she truly was a beauty among beauties.

The waiter cleaned up the mess and brought fresh drinks for Ash and Bailey
Just as they were about to clink glasses, two men approached without even greeting them and sat down next to them.
Ash remained indifferent, taking a sip of her drink calmly.
Hailey frowned in annoyance and moved closer to Ash.
“It’s boring drinking alone. Let us keep you company,” one of the men said, his eyes nearly glued to Ash.
Ash glanced sideways, her eyebrows suddenly furrowing. She reached out to shield Bailey’s shoulder and pushed the man away, “My friend doesn’t like this kind of thing, so keep your distance from her. I’ll join you instead.”
“Oh, that works for me, the man said excitedly, immediately moving away from Bailey.
Bailey looked worriedly at Ash as if to say, “Go easy on them.”
“You often come here, right? Why don’t you join us upstairs? We’ve already booked a room. Seeing Ash was game, the two men became even bolder.
The man sitting next to Ash even placed his hand on her thigh.
Ash’s eyes
widened in surprise, and her beautiful gaze instantly turned icy. She grabbed the man’s arm and twisted it.
A sudden scream pierced the air.
Before anyone could even see how she moved, Ash had thrown the man over her shoulder, crashing him onto a table with a thud.
The other man’s face turned ashen as he stared at Ash, his fists clenched tight. “You bitch! You prefer punishment over a
Ash smirked as the charging man approached, then swiftly kicked out.
The powerful kick sent the man sprawling on the ground, where broken beer bottles impaled his face, drawing a painful screech from him.
A malevolent red glinted in Ash’s eyes as if they were stained with blood.
Stepping closer, she pressed her foot against the man’s head and leaned in. “I said I’d play with you all, but you gave up so quickly?”
“S–spare me… We were wrong. The man’s face had gone pale with fear as he begged for mercy.
Ash lifted her foot, wiped it on the man’s clothes, and then returned to her seat, waving her hand casually,
In the blink of an eye, a waiter came over.
Ash picked up a clear glass from the table and took a sip. “Clear away the trash in front of me.”

Although the atmosphere was lively, it had taken on a somewhat strange tone.
“She… Is she a woman? Dwayne thought back to the scene just now, involuntarily swallowing hard. ‘Good thing I didn’t provoke her.

Calvert wore a faint smile, his cold eyes fixed on Ash seated across the room. I didn’t expect her to be this capable. No. wonder she kept looking down on me that day when I came to save her…
After several rounds of drinks, Calvert’s mind was elsewhere, completely preoccupied with Ash’s composed and delicate
Heard your runaway tancer’s back, pretty or what?” Dwayne asked nosily, already imagining a poor girl’s return to her family saga. “Take me to meet her sometime…”
Haven’t you already met her?” Calvert replied.
When did I… Hey, you’re leaving?” Dwayne called out as Calvert started to walk away.
“Boring Calvert responded before disappearing outside, with Dwayne trailing behind.
Seeing Calvert approach the woman from earlier, Dwayne immediately grinned. Not boring at all; he’s got something else on his mind.
Dwayne became curious. This woman can fight: I wonder if Calvert can handle her
While lost in thought, Dwayne heard Calvert’s cold voice offering to take the woman home.
Dwayne was puzzled. Do they know each other?‘
Ash, seeing Calvert, wasn’t too surprised and steadily supported the intoxicated Bailey. “Help me with my friend first.” With that, she hoisted Bailey up.
“Hmm?” Bailey woke up enough to give a drunken giggle upon seeing Calvert. “Ash, is this your gigolo? Kinda handsome….. burp..
Bailey let out a belch before passing out on Ash’s shoulder.
Calvert’s expression darkened, his features hardening with anger
Ash seemed to sense the fury hidden inside him and couldn’t help but snort with laughter.
