Jade had been out for another half a day before she came home. She was chatting happily with the Turner couple when Ash walked in with a small suitcase.
“Ash, you’re back… Oh my, how did you get injured?” Brooke heard the commotion and turned around. Before she could finish her words, she was shocked by the wound on Ash’s neck. She hurriedly got up and went forward.
Brooke was shocked. She grabbed Ash’s arm. “Honey, what happened? Why is your neck injured after two days of work? What happened?”
Josh also stood up and surrounded Ash with concern. “What happened? Who did this to you?”
“I’m fine. It’s just a scratch. I think it’ll be fine in a few days. Don’t worry.” Ash originally wanted to tear off the gauze, but the nurse had specially instructed her to wait for three to five days. Otherwise, it would leave a scar.
The injury happened to be on the exposed neck. If it did leave a scar, it would not look good. Ash could only let the gauze stay for the time being.
Jade sat on the sofa and her expression changed a few times. In the end, she came up to Ash with a concerned look and cried out in panic, “Ash, how did you get injured? Is it serious? Does it hurt? Did you fall or something? Do you need to go to the hospital for another checkup?”
If others saw this, they would really think that the two sisters were close to each other.

At this moment, Brooke could not care about anything else. She pushed Jade away and leaned closer to look at Ash’s wound. She sighed repeatedly. “It must be hurting badly. How did you hurt your neck?”
“I’ll call the doctor.” Josh was just as worried as his wife. He wanted to call the doctor.
Ash did not know how to respond. “I’m really fine. I’ve already see the doctor. The gauze can be removed in a few days. It’s just that I have to be more careful recently. It’s nothing serious, really.”
Brooke said, “You’re already so badly injured. How can you say that it’s fine? Girl, my heart really aches for you. Why didn’t you call me immediately when you were injured? It’s on me. It’s all my fault. Since I have nothing to do at home, why didn’t I accompany you on your business trip?”
Brooke’s eyes were filled with tears. She already felt guilty toward Ash.
Now that Ash was injured, the Turner couple felt even worse.

Jade was ignored at the side. Looking at this happy and warm family of three, she was filled with sadness and jealousy.
