On William’s shoulder rested the delicate hand of Ash.

The man at the door–is he connected to Ms. Turner?‘ William wasn’t intimidated by Calvert’s piercing gaze; instead, he returned the look with quiet scrutiny. The rumored heir of the Turner family doesn’t often show his face, but his legend has spread throughout Riverstone. Could this be the fiancé Ms. Turner mentioned?‘
Ash didn’t have time to respond. She turned and immediately saw Calvert’s dark expression outside the glass window.
What is he doing here?‘ She instinctively pulled her hand away from William’s shoulder, feeling an odd sense of unease. Wait, there is nothing between us–why should I feel guilty?”
Seeing her reaction, Calvert’s face darkened, and he turned on his heel to leave.
She looked different from what he had expected; she didn’t seem like the kind of woman Jade described as being kept by
someone.
Calvert had thought he misunderstood her, but it turned out to be true. She was clearly capable, so she wouldn’t settle for just anyone, she had chosen to get involved with the chairman of Shadow Ventures.
‘If a wealthy man is keeping her, that makes sense. Calvert strode down the stairs, a wave of irritation bubbling inside him. He had gone out of his way to bring her clothes, hoping to discuss some collaborations with Shadow Ventures, and now… a self–deprecating smile tugged at his lips.
Dean glanced at the jacket in Calvert’s hands, puzzled. ‘Wasn’t Mr. Snider supposed to deliver that to Ms. Turner? Why is he bringing it back?
Sensing the heavy atmosphere, Dean held his tongue. But the next moment, he watched in shock as Calvert tossed the jacket into the trash, his eyes cold and distant.
What kind of conflict has erupted between them? Dean quickly opened the car door, urging him to get in.
Calvert coldly refused, his voice dripping with disdain. “Her things, let her deal with them.” With that, he walked away. Dean stood frozen for a second, then quickly scribbled Ash’s phone number on a piece of paper and hurried after Calvert. The last time Calvert had shown such disdain was for Jade, who had drugged Calvert. He had thrown away the car she had used.
Now…
Left upstairs, Ash was bewildered. She had no idea why Calvert had come up, only to see him leave with a dark expression.
William noticed the subtle change in her demeanor. He was no stranger to the man just now, and he looked at Ash’s expression with concern.
She seemed clueless about what had just happened and didn’t pursue the matter further. Instead, she quickly returned her focus to the report in her hands.
Seeing her concentration, William relaxed. ‘Even if Calvert is impressive, the choice is in Ms. Turner’s hands.
He understood that Calvert had misunderstood his relationship with Ash, which was why he left in anger. But that had nothing to do with him.
Pushing up his glasses, and to convince the company, he usually dresses up in an older direction. He always strived for perfection when doing things for Ash.

Meanwhile, Tristan was out shopping with Samantha, and before they knew it, they had wandered to the entrance of Shadow Ventures.
A crowd had gathered outside, blocking the entrance.
Samantha spotted a limited edition Rolls Royce, its starry ceiling shimmering even with the doors closed.
Her eyes lit up. “If I could have a car like that, I’d be so happy,” she exclaimed, ready to join the crowd for a photo.
Tristan eyed the car greedily. He had always wanted one, but with the Ford family’s assets, he didn’t even qualify to buy it. As he saw phones raised all around, he forced himself to act nonchalant. “It’s just a mode of transportation. Tonight, I’ll take you for a spin in the best Mercedes at home. How does that sound?”
Samantha rolled her eyes secretly. This is no ordinary vehicle; it is a luxury car worth over several million dollars. The starry ceiling is clearly encrusted with real diamonds–top–tier luxury, not something a basic Mercedes could compare to.”
“Tristan, wait! Let me take a picture,” Samantha whined, her eyes glued to the car.
Tristan feigned reluctance as he walked over with her, but he couldn’t hide his envy at the sight of the Rolls Royce, It was the kind of car every man dreamed of owning, parked right in front of Shadow Ventures. It was likely the company
owner’s.
Samantha, not caring about manners, pushed her way through the crowd and plopped down in front of the car, ready to snap a photo.
“Get down!” a cold voice rang out.
Ash glared at Samantha, clearly displeased. “Get out of the way
If the security hadn’t told her that the car was blocking the way, she wouldn’t have known Calvert had left it there. She was just about to move it when she saw this scene unfold.
Samantha thought the owner had arrived, but when she recognized Ash, she smirked and taunted, “Don’t you know it’s first come, first served? Just because you want to see it doesn’t mean you can claim it. I saw it first.” She then turned to Tristan, flaunting, “Right, Tristan?”
Ash’s tone remained icy. “Just because you saw it doesn’t mean it’s yours.”
“Not mine? Is it yours?” Samantha shot back, her sarcasm dripping. “With your poor background, you’ll probably never afford it. I suggest you stop dreaming and save yourself the heartache.”
Tristan’s eyes lit up as he looked at Ash and tried to explain, “Ash Samantha did see it first, but if you want a picture with the car, I can take one for you.”
At that, Ash frowned. “Stay away from me. Don’t gross me out here!”
Tristan’s expression darkened at her words, but he remained silent. He hadn’t been mistaken; she had indeed just come out of Shadow Ventures.
Samantha, seeing her boyfriend being scorned by Ash, couldn’t help but lash out. “Tristan’s just trying to help you, and you bite back? People like you deserve to be dumped by men.”
Ash’s gaze sharpened, her fingers twitching as a thin silver needle grazed Samantha’s calf.

In an instant, Samantha tumbled from the car, hitting the ground hard.
“My car isn’t something just anyone can sit in.” Ash crossed her arms, looking down at the flustered Samantha on the ground.
