Samantha couldn’t help but laugh, momentarily forgetting her embarrassing situation. “You think that car is yours? I might as well claim the whole Shadow Ventures company is mine. What a joke!”
Tristan rushed over to help Samantha up, but his gaze turned to Ash with concern. “Are you sure you’re not just imagining things because you’re heartbroken over our breakup? Maybe you should see a doctor?”
Samantha’s smugness only increased at Tristan’s words. “If I were you, I’d find a place to hide myself after making such a fool of myself in front of my ex–boyfriend of five years.”
Ash stared coldly at the two of them. ‘How had I never noticed how dumb they were before? She smirked slightly. “What if that car really is mine?”
“If that car is yours, I’ll walk home on my hands,” Samantha scoffed, her tone dripping with disdain. “If it’s not yours, you’ll have to run home naked. Deal?” With that, she patted the car. “You think you deserve a car like this? Dream on!”
“Keep your dirty hands off my car,” Ash said, her eyes turning icy. “It’s mine, and you have no right to touch it.”
“Still pretending, huh?” Samantha’s face darkened as she pulled her hand away reluctantly. “If you’re so sure, prove it. Or else, you’re running home naked today.”
A crowd had gathered, eagerly watching the spectacle unfold.
Ash raised an eyebrow. “So if I show proof, you’ll really walk home on your hands?”
“Absolutely,” Samantha replied confidently. A girl kicked out of her house really thinks she can claim something so valuable.
She widened her eyes, waiting for Ash to embarrass herself. But the next moment, she froze. What is happening? How did Ash have the keys to that car? Am I seeing things?”
Ash pulled out the keys that Calvert had slipped into her bag earlier and, under the crowd’s watchful eyes, opened the car door slowly. Then she turned to Samantha, her tone casual. “Now, Ms. Moreno, let’s see you perform that walking home on your hands.”
Samantha’s face went pale. “No way! You must’ve stolen it.”
“Even if it were stolen, it’s still mine. Now it’s time for you to keep your promise,” Ash replied, not budging.
She had let things slide before because of the Moreno family, but now that Samantha had pushed her, it was time to make her pay.
Ash waved her hand, and nearby security quickly surrounded Samantha, blocking her escape.
“What’s the meaning of this?” Samantha gritted her teeth, unwilling to accept her fate.
She never imagined that the car truly belonged to Ash. But right now, she was more worried about her own situation. She was wearing a dress today for shopping… walking home on her hands was not an option.
“Since the car is yours, we’ll just be on our way,” she said, trying to backtrack.
But as she turned to run, the security guards formed a solid wall trapping her in the center.
Ash’s expression remained calm. “A bet is a bet. Didn’t anyone teach
you
that?”
Samantha’s face shifted through various emotions before she finally threatened. “If you bully me, I’ll tell my parents and they’ll disown you.”

At that, Ash almost laughed. She’d already been kicked out because of Samantha’s schemes; now Samantha wanted to use the same tactic again.
Noticing Ash’s silence, Samantha thought she had scared her. “If you’re smart, you’ll let me go now, or I’ll call my parents With a glance, Ash signaled the security, who snatched Samantha’s phone and held her upside down.
As they did, her dress slipped down, exposing her bare thighs. Thankfully, safety shorts covered her modesty, but her long dress now obscured her face.
“Ash, how can you treat her like this? She’s just a girl…” Tristan was in disbelief. The Ash he knew was always sweet and understanding; she wouldn’t do something like this.
“Oh really?” Ash replied, a smirk on her face. “Just a moment ago, she bet me that I should run home naked. Where was your concern then? Don’t forget, this bet was Samantha’s idea.”
Showing mercy to an enemy was cruelty to oneself. After all the times Samantha had stabbed her in the back, Ash felt no need to hold back.
The crowd that had been pushed aside by Samantha earlier now chimed in. “We all heard it. The bet was her idea; you can’t blame Ash.”
“Right, she’s the one who wanted someone to run home naked. Clearly, she’s not a good person…”
The onlookers murmured among themselves, some even pulling out their phones to capture the moment.
Samantha had never been humiliated like this, but now she couldn’t escape the security guards, feeling both angry and scared.
When she heard the sound of a camera shutter, she fainted from the shock.
Seeing this, the crowd gradually dispersed, leaving behind the comment, “You reap what you sow!”
Ash shot a glance at the scene before turning to get into her car
Tristan rushed after her. “Ash, I was just acting. You’re the only one I care about…”
Before he could finish, she kicked him down. “You two are perfect for each other. Just stay together and stop ruining it for everyone else.” She pressed the gas pedal and drove away, leaving him behind.

In the Turner family, Brooke looked serious, clutching her racing heart, “You mean Ash was attacked outside?”
Josh wrapped his arm around her protectively, patting her back to soothe her. “Brooke, don’t worry. She’s ine. I’ll arrange for two bodyguards to keep her safe from now on.”
Brooke took a deep breath, her eyes icy. “Is this related to anyone from Macnon?”
Seeing her husband nod slightly, a fierce look crossed Brooke’s face. “Whoever dares to hurt my precious daughter will pay
Just then, the door swung open, and Ash walked in.
“Ash, you’re just in time. I heard you’re looking for bodyguards. have some; feel free to choose,” Brooke said, her tone affectionate but laced with concern.
As Ash entered, she caught her mother’s words and felt a warm
rge in her heart.
