Brooke glanced at her and said, “I trust Ash. She won’t harm me.”
Jade instantly felt a pang of hurt. Her eyes stung. “I know Ash would never do such a thing, but we need to be careful in terms of the heart disease medication. I’m just worried that Ash might be deceived. Your health can’t handle any setbacks.”
Caspian, who had been silently standing, nodded repeatedly, glaring at Ash with suspicion.
*I agree with Jade. This is no small matter,” Josh said, taking the medicine bottle from Brooke and examining it closely.
Unfortunately, he had never seen a nourishing pill before, only heard of them.
After a moment, Lachlan said, “I’ve seen Prunella’s medicine at a friend’s place. Both the bottle and the pills have unique markings, and I remember them clearly. I can check it.”
Jade’s eyes lit up. She simply couldn’t believe that a cast–off adopted woman could have the ability to procure so many nourishing pills.
After all, those were the same pills that sold for 30 million dollars at auction, and here Ash had an entire bottle.
Jade thought, ‘It must be that Ash was trying to exploit the situation to win Mom’s and Dad’s favor, secretly acquiring counterfeit pills from somewhere. Once Caspian confirms the truth, Ash’s true nature will be exposed, and then we will see how she tries to argue her way out of it.‘
Jade waited eagerly for Lachlan to check, confident that Ash would be embarrassed.
Everyone else held their breath, waiting for Lachlan to deliver the verdict.
Lachlan carefully examined the bottle, noting the intricate vine patterns that adorned the silver container, which looked both simple and exquisite.
He then scrutinized the bottom of the bottle, where two small letters were etched–Prunella’s initials, “PG.” Lachlan said, “I’ve seen this before. This bottle definitely belongs to Prunella.”
Lachlan’s voice was steady, but a glint of joy sparkled in his eyes as he thought, “This is real. So Mom’s condition can significantly improve.
Jade, who had been anticipating a spectacle, now stared at him in disbelief.
She thought, ‘No. This can’t be! I have spent so much time searching for Prunella’s location. How could Ash, who has no background, come up with an entire bottle of nourishing pills?‘
Before she could voice her thoughts, Brooke spoke up.
“I knew Ash was special. Thank you for this generous gift, sweetheart.” Brooke beamed with joy, not just because her health might improve but also because it was a present from her beloved daughter.
Josh, no longer hesitating, immediately poured a glass of water, affectionately handing it to Brooke. “I believe in Ash too. Here, try one and see how it works.”
Lachlan’s expression softened as he opened the bottle and handed a pill to Brooke.
Jade’s eyes widened as she saw that everyone was now fully convinced of Ash’s sincerity, even Lachlan, who was cold and stern, showed a hint of approval.
Jade glanced at Caspian, who stared at Ash in shock, not giving Jade a single look.

Caspian’s anger flared as he glared at Ash. He was unable to speak due to being restrained.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group was caught up in the joy of the bottle of nourishing pills.
Josh said, smiling broadly, “Since it was a misunderstanding, let’s clear it up. This is worth celebrating. I’ll host a dinner tonight.”
Before anyone could respond, Jade chimed in, “Congratulations, Ash.”
Ash frowned slightly and thought, “The pretender seems to get smart.
Under Brooke’s eager and joyful gaze, Ash could only nod.
Lachlan glanced at Jade, not thinking her actions were problematic, but he was still curious about where Ash had gotten so many nourishing pills.
Regardless of the varying expressions around the room, Josh began organizing the dinner plans, and the quiet living room. quickly filled with excitement.
“Is there anything I can help with?” Ash asked as she surveyed the bustling crowd.
“Yes,” Brooke said, eyeing Ash from head to toe. “Your outfit is a bit too plain. Go get styled and make yourself look beautiful. Later, I’ll introduce you to some friends.”
Ash looked down at her simple white T–shirt and jeans, finding them comfortable and stylish. She didn’t think there was anything wrong with this outfit.
Seemingly sensing her confusion, Brooke gently explained, “Last time, the party was disrupted, and many of my friends didn’t get to meet you. So today is your chance to let them get to know you.”
At that moment, Franklin approached. Josh had just informed him of the situation.
Franklin stared at Ash with satisfaction, but his tone turned serious. “This party will be held at home. I’m bringing in security to maintain order. I want to see who dares to disrupt the event.”
His authoritative voice carried a hint of warning.
But Ash smiled slightly and thought, ‘These are my family. They believe in me and support me, refusing to accuse me based on a few words from others unjustly!‘
Since the bodyguards hadn’t arrived yet, Ash wasn’t allowed to go out alone.
She had initially wanted to call Bailey, but remembering she had just had surgery, Ash changed her mind and called Madeline. “Are you free today? Want to join me for a makeover?”
“Sure!” Madeline’s cheerful voice came from the other end of the line. “I happen to know a place that will make stunning.”
