“I don’t think she’s that kind of person… Wisley hesitated, meeting Jade’s gaze, and then added, “The police are at the door now, and they specifically want to summon Mrs. Ash Turner”
Ash glanced at him coldly. Without clear evidence, the police wouldn’t wrongly accuse someone. She wondered if Wisley had a grudge against her.
Caspian, who had just changed his impression of her, was the first to stand up. He sounded disappointed. “Have you ever done such a thing?
“That’s right. I was the one who hit her, Ash replied casually, a glint of sharpness flashing in her clear eyes. “If you keep talking like that, I’ll hit you too.”
Seeing her mother’s face turn slightly pale, Ash felt a bit regretful. She had forgotten she was in front of the parents and realized she should have restrained herself a bit more.
Caspian’s voice softened considerably, but he still couldn’t hide his concern. “You’re just going to ruin the reputation of the Turner family…
“Caspian, I believe Ash must have her reasons.” Jade pretended to speak up for her, but in reality, she directly confirmed that Ash had done something illegal.
Watching the two of them echoing each other, Ash suddenly felt a little disgusted. If not for the fact that they were in front of their parents, the two of them would already be lying on the ground by now.
Fortunately, Caspian was her biological brother.
Ash felt helpless, wondering how he could be so thoughtless.
But she didn’t dwell on it further. At least, Caspian had the sense to ask her first instead of jumping to conclusions, unlike Jade.
I’m going to deal with some private matters. You two go ahead and celebrate. Don’t let me affect your mood,” she said, reassuring her mother and Dorothy with a calm expression.
Upon hearing her affirmative answer, Brooke still felt a bit anxious. However, seeing her precious daughter so calm, she immediately straightened up. “Don’t worry, my dear. I believe you must have had a reason for hitting her. Rest assured, I’ll hire the best lawyer for you!”
Dorothy also leaned forward. “I believe you’re a good child. You must have hit her because she deserved it.”
Looking at the two elders protecting her, Ash felt a warmth flowing through her heart. Other than her teacher, there was no one else who treated her so well. She realized she needed to cherish them deeply.
“I’ll be back soon,” Ash said and left.
Brooke and Josh were a bit worried and were about to call their friends at the police station when Calvert stepped forward, saying, “I’ll go as a witness.”
“Alright!” Dorothy nodded in satisfaction. “I trust you’ll bring Ash back safely, just like you did just now.”
Seeing this, Josh and Brooke felt their worries dissipate. Calvert was one of the most notable figures in Riverstone, even the chief of police would have to give him some respect.
With Calvert around, Ash would definitely be fine.
Outside the Turner family mansion, the lights of the police car were flashing. Ash walked over unhurriedly. “Are you looking
for me?”

The police took out the surveillance video and carefully checked it. After confirming she was the woman in the video, they said in a serious tome, “You’re suspected of assault or intentionally harming someone. We will summon you for questioning
The police didn’t show her any special treatment just because she was part of the Turner family. They appeared to be impartial and strict. Understanding this, Ash calmly followed them and got into the police car without resistance.
Following the police car, Shane was driving with Calvert seated next to him.
“Mr. Snider, how can someone with such bad behavior be your fiancée?” After completing the investigation, Shane shared his evidence. “Refore coming back to the Turner family, she had a close relationship with the chairman of Shadow Ventures. Why do you still care about her?”
Calvert looked down, his face showing no emotion. He focused on the evidence of Ash frequently visiting Shadow Ventures as if he hadn’t heard his assistant.
Shane drove, his expression showing some discontent.
After a while, Calvert set down the investigation report. With a deep gaze, he spoke softly, “No matter what, she is my fiancée now. If she brings shame, it will reflect on me as well,”
After saying this, he lightly closed his eyes, his expression turning cold and distant.
Realizing that Calvert was showing signs of impatience, Shane quickly fell silent and focused intently on driving.
In the police car, Ash recalled what Wisley had just said and asked, “I heard I’m involved in two cases. Could you please tell me what the other one is?”
Seeing that she was very polite and was from the Turner family, the police officer did her a favor. “The person who reported you also accused you of having an improper relationship with the chairman of Shadow Ventures.”
Since she was from the Turner family, the officers initially had their doubts. However, they knew that everything would have to be confirmed after taking her statement at the station. They focused on evidence rather than personal assumptions.
This answer made Ash completely speechless. She was the chairman of Shadow Ventures. It sounded ridiculous to hear she had an improper relationship with herself.
Suddenly, she thought of William.
Now, the official chairman of Shadow Ventures was him. She pondered, ‘Is Samantha trying to accuse me of having a relationship with William?‘
Although it seemed a bit absurd, just in case, she opened her phone and sent William a message. [Please come to the Riverstone police station. I need your help with something.]
William replied quickly, [Okay, I’ll be right there.]
William, who was in the middle of a multinational conference, suddenly ended the meeting and drove to the Riverstone police station.
In the police station lobby, Samantha was already sitting there.
When Ash entered, she saw that her face was swollen and bruised. It was hard to believe that just one slap could cause such damage, especially since the side without the handprint appeared even worse.
As soon as Samantha saw Ash enter, she instantly stood up from her chair, putting on a pitiful expression. “Officer, she attacked me for no reason. The injuries on my face and body are all caused by her. You have to stand up for me.”
Ash looked up and carefully examined the other side of her bruised face. Without warning, she reached out her finger and

wiped it.
Samantha immediately hid behind the police. “Look at her. She’s already at the police station, yet she still dares to attack me. You have to punish her severely so she won’t dare to bully others again!”
The police stepped forward to block Ash and warned, “Ms. Turner, this is the police station, so please be mindful of your behavior.
I’m just curious how I managed to hit so evenly,” Ash replied casually, her gaze focused on the bluish–gray paint on her fingertips.
Her eyes were filled with mockery. In order to frame her, Samantha had really used all sorts of methods.
Outside the police station, Calvert stood at the entrance when someone quickly approached him. “Mr. Snider, what brings you here?”
