Samantha glared at Ash fiercely, but when she faced Samuel, her voice was soft. “Sam, look at these ignorant sales clerks, acting like they’re so important. They actually want the security guards to chase us out! They really don’t care about the Shelton family’s reputation!”
The security guards quickly surrounded the two of them. Samuel had never suffered such humiliation in his life. At this moment, his eyes were burning with anger as he berated, “If you dare to touch me, I guarantee that you will spend the rest of your lives in prison!
“Ask your manager to come out and see me immediately. It’s just a clothing store. How dare you chase me out just because you’re pretty?” Samuel’s words did not scare anyone.
Samantha acted like she had successfully bullied Ash and Bailey into respecting her. Her eyes narrowed as disdain and provocation flashed across her face. “Did you hear that? If you want to keep this job, hurry up and call your boss out.”
“Seeing such a lowly person become a shop assistant here is really interesting.” Samantha raised her chin slightly and glanced at Ash.
When Bailey heard this, the corners of her lips twitched. She smiled and retorted calmly, “You’re making it sound like you’re our boss. Also, I can recommend an ophthalmologist to get your eyes checked.
“Sam, did you hear that? She’s just a sales clerk, yet she dares to talk to me like this. Obviously, she doesn’t care about prestigious clients like you. Samantha gritted her teeth and shook Samuel’s arm as she continued to fan the flames.
Samuel had been gazing at Ash intensely. His fingers gently brushed the corners of his lips as he changed his stance to appear more powerful. “Call your manager out immediately.”
Ash’s expression was indifferent as she swept her gaze across the security guards. With a light tap of her chin, they instantly captured Samuel and Samantha. Ash shouted, “Kick them out.”
“All of you, stop! Call your manager out immediately. What right do you have to kick me out of here?” Samuel’s eyes were bloodshot as he growled.
Bailey seemed to want to say something, but Ash grabbed her wrist. She shook her head at Bailey and said calmly, “What right do I have?”
“I have the right because I’m the manager.” Ash took out a badge from her pocket. Her name and position were bright and clear enough for Samantha to see.
Samantha’s face instantly turned red. She gritted her teeth and kept repeating how impossible it was.
Before Samantha and Samuel could react, the security guards had already kicked them out of the door. The passers–by looked at them strangely,
“That’s enough. How much longer are you going to throw tantrums?” Samuel felt that Samantha had embarrassed him completely.
Samantha was full of grievances, and her eyes looked slightly misty. She coquettishly said, “Sam, I didn’t know she was the manager. Even if she is the manager, she can’t treat you like this. They’re too arrogant. They don’t care about the Shelton family at all.”
“Oh please,” Samuel sneered and bit his tongue. “Since you don’t know what’s good for you, don’t blame me for being rude.”
The Snider Group.
Calvert stood in front of the floor–to–ceiling window. His eyes flickered as he looked out the window, deep in thought.
There was a knock at the door, interrupting his thoughts.

“Mr. Snider, Mr. Salvatore is here. He has something to discuss with you. It seems to be about Riverstone’s Commercial Area,” Shane stood at the door and said respectfully,

Rick Salvatore was a company shareholder who entered the stock market last year. He held about 8% of the shares, most of which he had bought from other shareholders.
Since investing in the company, he made a few big orders with the Snider Group. Last year, he had successfully bid for a large piece of land in the neighboring city.
Calvert did not say a word. He slowly turned around and walked to the desk. He sat on the chair and said, “Let him in.”
“Mr. Snider, it’s been a long time.” Rick was almost 50 years old but still looked fit and strong, looking no different from a man in his thirties or forties.
Rick did not stand on ceremony at all. He sat opposite Calvert comfortably. “I saw the company’s report for the last quarter yesterday. We’re in a good place and exceeded last year’s performance by tenfold.”
“Mr. Salvatore, I don’t think you’re here to discuss the company’s financial statements with me. After all, we should leave the financial analysis to an expert,” Calvert said calmly.
Calvert’s fingers gently flipped through the documents in front of him. There was no bizarre emotion on his cold and devilish face. “Mr. Salvatore, if you have anything to say, just say it. I’m going out in half an hour.”
Calvert was not asking Rick to leave. He was just stating the facts.
Rick did not care about Calvert’s words at all. The two were familiar with each other and had facilitated a few big business deals together. They always had a tacit understanding at work. He stated, “I don’t recommend buying that land in the Riverstone Commercial Area.”
“What’s your reason?” Calvert had an outstanding temperament. His cold expression always made him seem dignified and unapproachable.
Rick was silent for a few seconds before saying, “Riverstone’s Commercial Area will definitely develop and prosper in the future. Decades ago, it was the center of Riverstone, but times have changed. It will grow and develop again in the future, but it will never become the heart of the city again.
“We can try bidding for the land, but I don’t recommend spending too much money and manpower on it. We have better options than that land.”
Rick’s analysis was almost the same as what Calvert was thinking. The Riverstone Commercial Area was easy to buy, but the profits would not be as great if they spent too much on its development.
Calvert knew about this, but it was not important. His current intention was to take over the Riverstone Commercial Area, and the most important thing was to block Shadow Ventures from buying it.
“I’m just making a suggestion. Mr. Snider, just listen,” Rick remarked.
The corners of Calvert’s lips curled up slightly as if he was smiling, but his tone was a little more serious than before. “It seems that I underestimated Shadow Ventures. It’s rare to see you acting as a lobbyist, Mr. Salvatore.
“I’ve already decided on buying this piece of land. You didn’t have to make a trip here today, Mr. Salvatore.”
Calvert did not expect Ash to get to such levels for Shadow Ventures. William seemed to mean a lot to her.
At this thought, Calvert’s expression darkened, and his grip on the document tightened. “If there’s nothing else, Mr. Salvatore, please leave.”
Rick sighed helplessly and felt powerless. He did not come here because Lachlan, his beloved apprentice, requested. Part of the reason for coming was because he thought spending so much on the Riverstone Commercial Area was not a good option

Rick warned. “Lachlan is very determined, Mr. Snider. Although I haven’t known him for long, I’m sure of one thing. There’s nothing he won’t do to see this through. Let go of the Riverstone Commercial Area for now.”
After Rick left the Snider Group, he called Lachlan.
“It’s fine. Mr. Salvatore. I almost expected something like this is similar to happen,” Lachlan said.
