“Boss, the person in charge of New Dawn Enterprises just sent me a message saying that he won’t renew the contract due to other considerations.” Ash had just woken up when she heard this “bad news.”
She sobered instantly. “Why did he suddenly make such a decision? Didn’t you say the contract was already drawn up?”
William’s gentle voice came from the other end of the phone. It was not difficult to hear the hint of frustration in his voice. “We had a preliminary discussion. The contract had already entered the end of the review stage. The contract was meant to be effective next week.”
“I understand.” Ash cleared her thoughts. New Dawn Enterprises was a big client that Shadow Ventures had worked with for a long time. They had been cooperating well in all aspects.
Someone had done something to prevent the signing of the new contract. It was obvious that it was Calvert’s doing.
Ash was impressed that Calvert had seen through Shadow Ventures‘ plan.
William expressed, “Boss, our cooperation with New Dawn Enterprises is not a small matter. If our cooperation ends, we will lose access to some of their resources. Do you think we need to get someone to contact them and fight to get an opportunity to negotiate?”
Ash pursed her lips. After a few seconds of silence, she said, “There’s no need for that for now. We’ve worked together for a long time, so there’s no point in working together if they abandon us without a care of our past successful cooperation.
“Arrange for a group of people to follow up and settle the issues of New Dawn Enterprises. Get everyone else to continue to focus on Riverstone’s Commercial Area. Currently, we have a very strong response on the Internet. We can’t let our guard down.”
After hanging up, Ash frowned slightly and looked at her phone, thinking about something.
Ash took out a brick–like laptop from a box. She quickly typed on the keyboard, and her expression became clearer.
“Mr. Snider, the CEO’s system has been hacked and is now disabled.” Shane carried a laptop and walked into the office quickly. “I’ve tried to repair it, but the hacker has fiercely attacked us, and we can’t fight back.”
Shane had a decent IT level. This was enough proof of just how good the hacker’s skills were.
Calvert took the computer from Shane. His fingers swiftly typed on the keyboard, and his calm expression gradually became serious.
Shane stood in front of the desk and quietly watched Calvert’s problem–solving attempt. It was rare to see a system that made Calvert work so hard to repair.
After about 15 minutes, Calvert stopped what he was doing and closed the laptop. He pursed his lips and smirked. “It’s done.”
Shane asked, “Mr. Snider, who is the hacker?”
Calvert shook his head. “The hacker’s IP address was well hidden. I didn’t manage to find it. Everything is back to normal now. Go out.”
“Could it be Shadow Ventures?” Before leaving, Shane asked. However, he didn’t believe Shadow Ventures had such a powerful hacker.
Calvert’s eyes darkened, and it was unclear what he felt. His gaze gradually shifted to the window. After a long time, his phone’s vibration pulled his thoughts back.

Chapter 95
Dorothy messaged: [Bring Ash over for dinner tonight. I haven’t seen her in a long time. I miss her so much.]
He raised his eyebrows as he read the message. He stared at it for a long time without replying. For some reason, a ridiculous thought came to mind. Perhaps Ash was the one who had just tried to hack him.
“Calvert, didn’t you see my message? Or did you deliberately not reply?” Dorothy asked.

It had only been five minutes since Calvert saw her message when Dorothy called. She questioned. “Did you fight with Ash?”
“No.” There was a hint of helplessness in Calvert’s cold voice. “I have a social gathering tonight.”
Dorothy was unhappy when she heard this. “You only know how to entertain people all day long. Do you still need me to tel you what’s important?”
He gave up. “I’ll bring her home for dinner tonight.”
Dorothy nodded in satisfaction. “That’s my grandson. I’ll be waiting for you guys. Don’t bully Ash.”
When Calvert appeared at the door of the Turner family, Ash was climbing over the wall. The two of them looked at each other. Ash was very frank and natural. She ruffled her hair and said, “What’s wrong? Have you never seen a woman dimb over a wall?”
I’m just climbing over a wall? Does Calvert have to keep looking at me?‘ she thought.
With a cold expression, he glanced at her indifferently. Without saying anything, he walked straight into the hall. Ash parted her dusty hand, frowned slightly, and quickly followed him.
‘Why isn’t he saying anything? What is wrong with this man? He’s so difficult!” she silently complained.
“Calvert, you’re here. Are you here to pick Ash up for dinner?” Dorothy had already called Brooke in the morning. Now that she saw Calvert at the door, Brooke immediately understood.
Calvert’s cold expression softened a little, and he grunted.
“Ash…Ash seems to be sleeping upstairs.” Brooke already knew that her daughter had snuck out again, but she had to cover for her in front of her fiancé.
As soon as Brooke finished speaking, Ash swaggered in from the door. Her slightly curly chestnut hair was tied up. She glanced at Calvert and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“…Calvert is here to pick you up for dinner. Weren’t you resting upstairs just now? Why did you come in through the main door?” When Brooke spoke, she even gave Ash a look.
The corners of Ash’s lips curled up slightly. They had just bumped into each other, so there was no point in lying now. She hummed lightly and changed the topic. “Let’s go then.”
Calvert and Ash walked out of the door one after another. Ash immediately stopped smiling and turned to look at him “Why didn’t you just send me a message?”
Calvert sneered and looked at her meaningfully. “Wouldn’t I have disturbed your other arrangements if I had told you in advance?”
After saying that, he took a couple of steps forward and overtook her, walking quickly toward the entrance.
Ash was left dumbfounded.
‘What is this stupid man thinking? He keeps saying things that I don’t understand, she thought.
Ash benevolently accompanied him to have dinner with Dorothy. She did thank him but was also sarcastic.

Chapter 95
The two of them remained silent all the way until the car drove into the Snider family’s estate.

You really put in a lot of effort for Shadow Ventures. Was the online marketing your idea?” Calvert turned off the engine and suddenly spoke before she got out of the car.
She considered, I am the boss of Shadow Ventures. Isn’t it only right for me to contribute my expertise?‘
Ash retracted her hand and said calmly, “Now that you and Shadow Ventures are opponents, it’s not appropriate for me to reveal this, right?
Calvert did not respond. Instead, he suddenly leaned over. Ash was shocked. She subconsciously placed her hands on his chest and leaned back. “What are you doing?”
Calvert’s eyes darkened after noticing her reaction. He took out his phone and waved it in front of her eyes. “Look at this.”
