Max promptly supported her.
“Don’t worry. She will be fine.”
Since Bella had come to Havenbrook, Anne hadn’t visited her. This was because she was furious that Dante had used Bella as a means to intimidate her.

When Anne and Max arrived, Bella had just been wheeled out of the emergency room.

Dante asked, “Why did you bring him here?”

She hugged Bella tightly and gazed at her tenderly.

daughter? I am her father and legal guardian. Who are you to her?”
Max retorted, “Well, I have nothing to do with her. But even as an outsider, I’m sorry she’s become your pawn. How can you, her father, feel no guilt for her?”
