Chapter 738 Wrath
The man’s eyes were fixed on Meryl’s face.
Noticing the cold sweat on her forehead, he reached into his pocket, retrieved a handkerchief, and handed it to her.
“Wipe it.”
Meryl slowly came back to her senses, her eyes full of surprise. “Casey?”
At some point, the child in Meryl’s arms had been taken over by Casey.
It looked like he had been sitting next to her for a while.
Meryl thought, “Why is Casey here?”
After all, he was a public figure, so Casey wore a hat and a mask and sat in the front row. Meryl didn’t recognize him at first.
Halfway through the journey, it was Casey who noticed her first.
Observing Meryl asleep, still clutching the child with evident effort, Casey swapped seats with the person beside her.
Meryl didn’t expect that Casey was so skilled at holding the child.

She glanced at him apologetically. “I’m sorry to trouble you, Casey. I’ll manage on my own.”

As she spoke, Meryl reached out and prepared to take the child.
Reflecting on it, Meryl felt a bit apprehensive.
Fortunately, Casey was with her; otherwise, she might have fallen asleep while holding the child and wouldn’t have realized the child was taken away.
Casey didn’t care. “It’s been more than ten hours. If you hold that position for so long, your hands will go numb. I’ll take over for you. Don’t hesitate to ask me.”
Meryl didn’t bother about it anymore.
Holding the child was indeed inconvenient. She didn’t even dare to drink more water for fear of needing to use the bathroom during the meal.
Meryl felt a bit thirsty at that moment, so she asked the stewardess for a glass of boiled water. After drinking half of it, Casey suddenly said, “Did you and… Chandler have a fight?”
It was highly unusual for her to travel such long distances alone with her child so soon after giving birth.
Such a young child couldn’t be alone with his mother when he
went out.
Meryl applied to a school abroad and would be away for several

years before coming back. Two days ago, she asked him to help her look for a house near the school.
But with Chandler’s financial resources, it would be easy for him to rent or even buy a house in Aetherland. Casey’s help was not needed at all.
Now, Meryl had transferred from Austranion to Aetherland; Casey suspected there was a problem in their relationship.
Meryl nodded gently, hiding nothing from Casey.
“Casey, I’ll trouble you again to keep my whereabouts a secret for the time being.”
Meryl’s eyes were slightly red, and she looked much more haggard than the last time they met.
Casey thought, “Whether a woman is living a good life can be seen through her appearance.
Unless there is a change in the marriage, no one would seek trouble and run away with the child right after giving birth.”
Casey softly said, “Okay, I won’t tell anyone. The most important thing for a person is to be self–consistent. It’s truly admirable.
“If you feel he isn’t a suitable match and decide to leave, I will fully support your decision.”
This was the truth.

So many women chose to compromise and live a mediocre life for the sake of their children after marriage.
It was already very admirable that Meryl could take this step.
Meryl’s expression changed slightly.
She didn’t expect that Casey was so capable that he could the whole story just by listening to her few words.
Casey asked the flight attendant for a blanket.

“Don’t worry. I told you I won’t say anything more about this matter.
“It’s still early. You can sleep a bit longer. I’ll watch the baby and call you when we land.”
Meryl was taken aback and said, a bit embarrassed, “I’m so sorry…”
“Why are you being so formal with me?” Casey smiled, changed his hand to hold the child, and tucked in the blanket for Meryl.
“Besides, we are as close as siblings. Taking care of your kid is what I should be doing, right?”
Meryl thought Casey was such a nice person.
Meryl felt a surge of gratitude and didn’t refuse any further. She thought that if she took a short nap, she could bring the child over later.

Late at night, Dante went back and said that he had to fly to Havenbrook tomorrow and had to pack up first.
Only Chandler and Walter were left in the room.
Walter told him the results of the investigation in detail.
“Since Felix was discharged from the hospital today, he’s been staying at the Powell Manor and hasn’t left.
“I couldn’t find any trace of Mrs. Aniston at the highway intersection or the high–speed rail, so I widened the search area and focused on the airport.
“But the airport’s surveillance cameras were all tampered with by hackers today.
“Mr. Aniston, how could it be such a coincidence? So Mrs. Aniston must have left by plane!
“I checked her flight information, which was blank. Now, there is only one possibility.”
Chandler’s eyes narrowed with cold realization. “Felix assisted Meryl in assuming a new identity, allowing her to board the plane under someone else’s name.”
Walter nodded.

The Powell family had a history of involvement in the

underworld, with their activities spanning many years. Over recent years, they had been working to distance themselves from these associations and cleaned up their image.
In the early days, the Powell family was involved in the smuggling business.
Therefore, changing identity was not a difficult thing for Felix.
Chandler’s face turned cold.
He grabbed his coat and started to go out.
“Go to the Powell Manor!” Chandler said.
Walter glanced at the clock, noting it was already past three in the morning. “Now?” he asked, his voice tinged with concern. It was too late.
Walter knew very well that Chandler was going there now to confront Felix.
“Mr. Aniston, why not tomorrow morning…”
Chandler frowned. Every second of delay would make him feel
more uneasy.
He couldn’t wait for hours without doing anything.
Chandler gazed out the window and said, “I need you to do an errand for me.”

Walter leaned over, and Chandler whispered something in his
car.
After hearing this, Walter’s expression changed.
“Mr. Aniston, this isn’t a good idea. It’s a personal issue between you and Mr. Powell. Do you want to involve the Powell family?”
The Powell family was formidable and not easily intimidated. Offending them would be unwise.
Chandler coldly remarked, “Felix dared to take Meryl away without anyone noticing under my nose. You must bear my wrath. Just do as I say.”
Walter pressed his lips.
The next day, after a short rest, Chandler changed his clothes and prepared to go to the Powell Manor.
He didn’t expect to be stopped at home before he even left.
Dylan was sitting in a wheelchair, being pushed in from outside the house, his face showing signs of distress.
“Chandler, what did you do last night?”
