“I knew it.” David said.
Julia put down the joystick.“What?”
“You’re the reason why Ethan came to this tower,” David replied.
Julia turned her head and asked, “Why did you say that?” She felt that David was just joking. After all, she and Ethan had never contacted each other since the graduation. If it wasn’t for you, we would have stayed at our original positions. He insisted on coming to this new route and took me here.” Remembering the day when he received Ethan’s phone call, David really wanted to punch him.
That night, he was soundly asleep. Unexpectedly, he was awakened by a phone call from Ethan.“David, come with me to Denver.”
At that time, he wasn’t quite awake, so he immediately said yes.
When he woke up the next day, it was too late for him to go back on his word. It was a new route. No one knew whether it could continue to operate. David didn’t want to be here. But there was nothing he could do. He must keep his promise.
Julia did not completely believe it.
David, however, understood everything.
This was secret love, a secret love that had lasted for seven years and ended in vain when Shaw appeared. Now that Julia was single, Ethan finally made his move.
Ethan was good at everything. But when it came to relationships, he was like a newborn baby. He was very timid.
David had told him many times to be confident. After all, he was so handsome and charming.
Still, Ethan dared not tell Julia how he felt.
“Enough.” Julia didn’t dare to believe what David said. After all, she didn’t think she was good enough to make Ethan so crazy about her.
But she thought of the scarf, and it might mean something.
Julia forced herself not to think about it.“Stop talking about it. Focus. The plane was flying smoothly until it suddenly hit a turbulence. Julia quickly announced.“Ladies and gentlemen, attention please! We’re passing through an area of turbulence, please sit down and fasten your seat belt. During the turbulence, the toilet and cabin service will be suspended for your safety. If you are eating, please be careful of scalding or soiling your clothes. Thank you.”
The turbulence was not intense, but it lasted for a long time. It took a while for the plane to stabilize.
Julia turned on the walkie–talkie and contacted the flight attendant. “Is everything okay?”
