Charlotte saw his handsome face, and her heart skinned a beat. “A–Alpha? The Alpha of Snowwolf Pack What… what are you doing here?”
He must have seen how Celica scratched her foot earlier. This should show him what a vulgar and dumb wolf Celica was
Nathaniel furrowed his brows tightly when he saw Celica’s crimson fingers, and he used his wolf–like amber eyes to glare at Charlotte. “Is this your doing?”
Earlier, when he walked in, he had only seen Celica striking Charlotte.
As Charlotte was the one who started the fight first, she was now a little jittery, and her voice shook as she exclaimed, “No, please believe me. I saw Celica working here and especially came in to ask her colleagues to take care of her.”
Celica wore a deadpan face. As a wolf who was always bullied, she didn’t believe that this Alpha would stand on her side. “She’s our customer, and I’m working here. That’s all.”
She did not dare to meet his sharp eyes, and her tone was flat. Despite that, she and her wolf were mad with fury. More than ever, she wished that she was a capable werewolf. Then, others would think twice before picking on her.
Nathaniel’s face grew taut, and his inherent arrogance instantly froze the atmosphere.

The spacious interior suddenly felt cramped, and the atmosphere sank to its lowest depths.
Nathaniel offered no explanation whatsoever. He simply pulled her into his embrace, and his tall frame pressed close. Celica’s lips were caught off guard by his, and her soft bosom collided with his solid and broad chest. The man’s scorching body temperature sent shivers throughout her body, making her heart race uncontrollably.
Nathaniel greedily sucked on her lips like a beast, and the woman’s soft breath, mixed with a hint of fragrance, created an intoxicating scent that left him captivated again and again.
Celica’s brain finally snapped out of its blank state, and she pushed him away. “Nathaniel, what are you doing? Let go of me!”
Did he just drag me from my workplace in broad daylight to kiss me? Does he have nothing better to do?
No, things weren’t that simple. Instead, Celica had a feeling that he was in heat. Did he drag her out of her workplace because he wanted to mate?
Though being pushed away, Nathaniel wasn’t upset. Instead, a sly grin crept onto his lips.
His predatory eyes were fixed on Luna’s face, and he coldly said, “You should’ve known this would happen from the moment you fooled me. How dare you, Celica? Did you forget that you’re my mate and the Luna of Snowwolf Pack?”
“Mr. Hyde, I won’t forget how difficult it is to be the Luna of the Snowwolf Pack, but you should reflect upon your actions. I told you that I merely danced once in Phoccock’s place, but the thing you bought is her dance and not me!” She clenched her fists and glared daggers at him.
She hadn’t done anything wrong.
Nathaniel was so angry that he sniggered. “Even so, you had no reason to set me up with another she–wolf. Do you know that, thanks to you, I nearly died-”
He suddenly stopped himself. If Celica found out he was allergic to other she–wolves but had no reaction to her, she would surely misunderstand. She might think he was only with her because he had no other choice.
Meanwhile, Celica gave him an irritated glance. It’s just a change in women. Do you need to make such a big deal out of it?
The atmosphere fell into a brief silence, and Nathaniel stared at her with his deep gaze.

“What a load of crap!” she snapped, her eyes welling up with frustration.

He was going to let what happened that night slide. He needed to be more patient when dealing with his mate because he could sense that she hadn’t fallen for him yet. He had to be gentler to her.
“I’m not going back; I still have my part–time job!” She had left her job without even knowing if the manager would fire her. But upon further consideration, even if the manager didn’t mind. Charlotte would definitely not let it go so easily. Needless to say, this part–time job would also be lost.
Nathaniel’s eyes narrowed as he tightly grasped her delicate wrist. The gentle touch made it seem like he could easily break her bones with a little more pressure. “Why did you get a part–time job? Do you enjoy being bullied? As the Luna of Snowwolf Pack, nobody will dare to step on your paws.”
His words sparked her anger. In her opinion, he simply looked down on her and her job. “What do you mean that I like to be bullied? It’s all because I need money, lots of it! Will the Snowwolf Pack give me a huge sum of money without any conditions?”
Money was needed for her mother’s medical bills, her living expenses, and even to get back at the Silvermoon Pack later. Did she have another choice? What a joke! Speaking about money with a strong and wealthy Alpha was akin to asking for humiliation.
“If you need money so badly, just stay by my side and be my Luna, and I’ll give you any amount of money that you want. Nathaniel’s tone was so serious that he sounded as though he could hand over the entire Snowwolf Pack to her as long as she agreed to his terms.
Why didn’t she want the wealth and status that countless she–wolves could only dream of? Moreover, she also had the position of the Luna of the Snowwolf Pack.
All you have to do is please me a little, and I will give you the whole world. This sentiment was clearly written all over Nathaniel’s face, and that arrogant demeanor was somewhat unbearable.
Celica let out a light sigh. In the eyes of Alphas like Nathaniel, everything was always this simple.
