Chapter 205 

Before Isabel could snap out of her daze, wondering why the man had suddenly made such a move, she caught a glimpse of him tying the laces on her Dr. Martens boots. 

He’s tying my shoelaces? 

And he’s doing it while on one knee… 

At that moment, Isabel felt as if the man were lifting her up, holding her in the palm of his hand.

Logan slightly parted his lips, exhaled, and when he turned his gaze back to Isabel, his eyes were filled with blessings.

After tying Isabel’s shoelaces, Xander slowly stood up. He took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. 

“It’s cold outside. Put this on.” 

Isabel glanced at the man, who was only wearing a sweater. A few snowflakes landed on his shoulders, melting almost instantly. 

Suddenly, her nose tingled with a wave of emotion. 

“Thank you,” she said, her voice slightly hoarse. 

“Let’s go,” Xander said, extending his hand to take hers. 

Before Xander could reach for her hand, Isabel turned and walked toward Sofia. 

“Wait for me,” Isabel said, then quickly made her way to Sofia’s side. 

The moment she faced Isabel’s commanding presence, Sofia instinctively took a small step back. 

But what was there to fear? Surrounded by so many people, Sofia couldn’t believe Isabel would do anything to her. 

What’s the matter?” Sofia, although shorter than Isabel, tilted her head so high it almost seemed like she was looking down her nose. “So, after I exposed your lies, you’re all embarrassed and angry? If anyone’s to blame,

Slap! The sound of the slap was sharp and loud, echoing in the air. 

Isabel’s slap was so forceful that it sent Sofia spinning, her body whirling several times before she crashed to the ground, landing in a disheveled heap. 

Sofia covered her swollen cheek, which looked as if it had been struck by a hammer, her eyes burning with fury as she glared at Isabel. 

“H–how dare you hit me? What did you hit me?” 

“Because of your filthy mouth,” Isabel said, her gaze cold and piercing as she looked down at Sofa 

“You!” Sofia scrambled to her feet, her voice trembling with rage. “Go to hell!” 

Sofia stretched out her long, sharp nails, aiming to scratch Isabel’s face. Not only that, she wanted to tear at Isabel’s clothes and humiliate her in front of everyone. 

However, before she could even touch Isabel, a swift, forceful kick sent her flying. 

Sofia slammed hard into a trash bin, the impact leaving her sprawled on the ground. 

The trash bin was somewhat full, and when Sofia slammed into it, the contents spilled out, covering her head and face in garbage. 

Silence. 

The old classmates stared in shock at the scene before them. 

They were all taken aback. 

Isabel’s gaze shifted to Xander’s leg. “Why did you kick her? Aren’t you afraid of getting dirty?” 

“Yeah, it’s pretty dirty,” Xander Bennett said. He then took Isabel Zimmerman’s hand, took out a handkerchief from his pocket, carefully wiped her hand, and then threw it into the trash can with disgust. 

The crowd was speechless. 

The old classmates all looked at Sofia with sympathy. 

Sofia’s face, twisted with rage, flashed through every emotion, as if it were a revolving light show. It was truly a spectacle! 

“Isabel! Isabel! You’re done for! You’re done for! Your entire family is finished“” 

At these words, Logan’s face twisted in horror, and he shook his head at Sofia. She had truly dug her own grave without leaving any room for retreat. 

Isabel and Xander paused for a brief moment, almost in sync, before continuing to walk side by side through the falling snow. A few seconds later, they got into the car and drove away. 

The scene shifted. 

Sofia was at home, speaking on the phone with Lillian. 

That d*mn Isabel, I hate her! Lillian, you have to help me come up with a plan. Can we get back at her?! made a fool of myself today, and I need to make her pay for it?”

As they spoke, Lillian suddenly had a brilliant idea. 

“Wait, something just came to me. I think I have a good plan, but my identity might not be suitable for it. Are you willing to do it?” 

“What’s there to be afraid of?” Sofia was seething with anger. As long as it wasn’t murder, she felt she could do anything right now. 

“Here’s the plan,” Lillian said, her voice cold and malicious. “I’ll find a way to lure her to a nightclub. You’ll drug her, then get ten or so older men, drug them too. Have someone record the chaos, then post it online, so everyone knows Isabel has a dirty private life.” 

As Lillian spoke, her face twisted into a cruel, almost triumphant grin, as though she already imagined the whole thing coming to fruition. 

“Okay, I’ll do it. I-” 

Just as Sofia was about to finish her sentence, her boyfriend suddenly called. 

“Hold on a second, my boyfriend’s calling. Let me take this.” 

“Hello? You-” 

“We’re breaking up!” The man’s voice was filled with anger, laced with fear that he couldn’t hide. 

Sofia was taken aback. “W–why?” 

“Why? Are you asking me why? Maybe you should ask yourself who you’ve pissed off! You nearly ruined my family’s business! Sofia, you’ve got some nerve, angering that person!” 

Hearing this, Sofia was even more confused. 

“Who did I offend? I didn’t do anything!” 

“Don’t deny it! Enough! I don’t want to hear your excuses. We’re done! Don’t ever contact me again!” 

Beep. The call was disconnected. 

Sofia was on the verge of tears. The one thing she had always prided herself on was having such a rich man. Recently, she’d been boasting in her class group about the luxury gifts her man had bought her. 

And now, out of the blue, she was being dumped. 

Who did she offend?
