Chapter 132
1 coughed softly when I heard the name “Lirian” mentioned from the kitchen.

My housemates seemed to be deep in conversation, their voices carrying just enough for me to catch
snippets.
I tried not to eavesdrop, but curiosity nudged me forward.
As I entered the kitchen, Housemate One, Lauren, spotted me and greeted me with a warm smile. “Sophia! You’re back!”
I settled into my usual spot at the table, my mind still on what I’d overheard. “I just heard you guys say. Lirian’s girlfriend?”
I kept my tone casual, though my heart pounded. I hadn’t told anyone about my relationship with Lirian; we’d kept things discreet. Could my secret have slipped out somehow?
Lauren exchanged a glance with Housemate Two, Jia, who was sitting nearby with her coffee mug.
Jia lived next door but often dropped by to chat with Lauren. She looked at me with curious
eaning forward as if intrigued.
“Oh, you know Lirian too?” she asked.

I nodded slowly, choosing my words carefully. “Recognize,” I replied, letting the hint hang in the air.
Lauren, her interest piqued, continued with a grin.
“I heard he’s quite the catch. Handsome, protective, and absolutely devoted to his girlfriend.
He even asked the people around to look out for her, so she wouldn’t be bullied.
She’s one lucky girl to have him. I mean, he’s from the Iron Claw Pack–that’s not a family you cross paths with easily!”
I felt a small surge of pride hearing others admire Lirian, though I kept a neutral expression.
The Iron Claw Pack did have a certain intimidating reputation, and knowing Lirian was theirs made me feel secretly proud.
But I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease–this was supposed to be my secret.
The Alpha’s Sulat
fia jumped in, adding, “Actually, someone told me about his girlfriend, too, I heard she’s around here.” She glanced at Lauren conspiratorially.
I chuckled inwardly, feeling a mixture of relief and amusement.
I had never breathed a word to anyone here about Lirian and me.

I’d come to college with one clear goal: keep a low profile, avoid unnecessary trouble, and finish my studies in peace.
But hearing others talk about him–it was hard not to feel a bit pleased, even though I had no idea who they thought his girlfriend was.
“Who?” Lauren asked, eyes glinting with curiosity, clearly eager for more gossip.
A small laugh escaped my lips, and I decided to finally step forward.
“Actually… Lirian’s girlfriend is me,” I said, letting the words tumble out with an amused smile, wondering how they’d react.
Lauren and Mia burst into laughter, almost doubling over in disbelief.
“Oh, stop it, Sophia!” Lauren giggled. “Next, you’ll be telling us Ethan is your boyfriend too!”
Jia chimed in, rolling her eyes playfully. “Yeah, and I’ll say I’m dating the most popular guy in the department. Nice try, Sophia.”
I shook my head, wiping imaginary sweat off my forehead, pretending to be embarrassed by the
revelation.
But Jia’s expression shifted to something serious, and she said, “No, really! Lirian’s actual girlfriend is from the music department. She’s kinda good–looking.”
My smile faltered for a second, caught off guard by the statement.
So, there was another story going around, and apparently, it wasn’t about me.
I felt a twinge of relief, realizing they must have mistaken someone else for Lirian’s girlfriend.
Still, curiosity got the better of me.
“Who told you that?” I asked, tilting my head, playing along as if this gossip was as surprising to me asit was to them.

Mia pulled out her phone, scrolling through photos. “Oh, there’s this picture circulating of her. Take look!”
When she held up her phone, I froze. The girl staring back at me from the screen was Linda. The familiar face sent a chill down my spine.
Linda, who had caused trouble before–her involvement in the arson incident was no secret, and she’d even ended up in jail, though she’d always claimed innocence.
Recently, I’d heard she’d been released on parole. How did her name get tangled up with Lirian’s?
Trying to keep my voice steady. I asked, “Who said Linda is his girlfriend?”
Mia shrugged, unfazed. “It’s just what people are saying. I heard she’s been telling people herself. There’s a friend of mine who’s having a birthday party next week, and she’s invited everyone from the department.
Apparently, Lirian and his… ‘Luna‘ might show up. You should come, Sophia! It’ll be fun.” She extended the invitation with a bright smile.
Without hesitating, I agreed. “Sure, sounds interesting. I’ll go.” Maybe this party would finally clear up some of the strange rumors swirling around.
