Chapter 138
Lirian turned, and his gaze hardened. His eyes, sharp and calculating, locked onto Christina. “Who exactly are you calling shameless?” he asked, his tone low and dangerously calm.
Christina scoffed, clearly not recognizing Lirian. It was dim outside, and all she could make out was his imposing figure and commanding presence. “I’m calling her shameless,” she retorted, jabbing her finger toward me.
“She’s been going around claiming she’s Lirian’s girlfriend–the future Alpha of Iron Claw! Does this poor guy next to her even know she’s lying?”
Her smirk was short–lived, as two men who had accompanied Lirian stepped forward. One of them, a burly, stern–looking man, pulled on a pair of sunglasses with a deliberate flourish, and in a flash, slapped Christina across the face, sending her stumbling backward.
She fell to the ground, dazed, a red mark blooming on her cheek.
“How dare you!” she cried, her voice a mixture of outrage and shock. “Do you even know who I am?”
The man glared down at her, his voice cold and unyielding. “Watch your mouth. Do you know who you’re insulting?”
Christina’s expression turned from anger to one of panic, yet she tried to stand her ground. “You wait! Linda’s boyfriend–the Alpha–will be here soon. None of you will get away with this.”
She scrambled to her feet and pulled out her phone, dialing frantically. “Linda, come outside! I need
you!”
Moments later, Linda emerged from the hall, looking flustered, and to Christina’s side came a man–tall, broad–shouldered, and dressed in a sharp suit. Relief washed over Christina’s face as she rushed to Linda, gesturing dramatically.
“Linda, help me!” she wailed. “This woman had her people hit me!”
Linda glanced at her with a mixture of confusion and irritation. “What happened?” she asked impatiently, clearly bothered by the scene.
christina pointed accusingly at me. “She’s been posing as Lirian’s mate! And now she’s having her goons beat me up!”
Linda turned to the man beside her.

Lirian,” she said, looking up at him with pleading eyes, “Sophia has been lying about you. Can’t you
teach her a lesson?”
I glanced at the man standing next to Linda, curiosity piquing as I compared him to the photos that had circulated a moment ago. As I took in his appearance, it made sense in a hilariously twisted way. I couldn’t help but let out a stifled laugh, and Lirian shot me a confused look.
“Take a look for yourself,” I whispered, gesturing subtly toward Linda’s so–called ‘Lirian.” “Doesn’t he look… kind of like you?”
Lirian followed my gaze, eyebrows knitting together as he stared at the imposter in front of us. The man had the same haircut Lirian used to sport before he trimmed it, and his outfit–though vaguely similar in style–lacked the same level of refinement.
It was like someone had copied Lirian’s look based on a grainy magazine photo.
Except… the resemblance ended there. This guy wasn’t tall or muscular like Lirian; he barely looked taller than Linda, maybe around five foot seven, while Lirian towered over most people at six foot three. In every other way, the man seemed like a poor knock–off.
“No wonder those photos were taken from just one angle,” I murmured, grinning. “In person, the difference is night and day.”
nable to contain my amusement, I tugged Lirian closer and said to Linda, “Linda, let me introduce you. This is the real Lirian you’ve been talking about.”
Linda’s face dropped, her confidence visibly crumbling as she looked between the real Lirian and her imposter. Beside her, her friend Christina, who had been fawning over the supposed “Alpha,”
looked horrified. She glared at me with wide eyes and spat,
“Sophia, the Alpha is standing right here! How dare you speak to the future Luna like that? Do you really want to face the consequences?”
“Oh, is that right?” I said with a smirk, gesturing to the impostor. “You’re telling me he is Lirian?” Then, turning to Lirian, I asked, “So, how do you feel about someone impersonating you?”
Lirian didn’t say a word, but I could sense the change in his stance, his gaze narrowing with a piercing intensity that said it all.
What… what do you mean by that?” Linda’s friend stammered, casting nervous glances around.
The two men who had accompanied Lirian stepped forward, addressing him respectfully. “Young Master,” one of them said, his eyes flicking toward the impostor with thinly veiled amusement.
