Chapter 147
“I don’t want you to die for me, Lirian. We’ve already lost so much–we need to live together. Both of
us.”
A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. “I know,” he said softly.
“But that’s my way of telling you how much you mean to me. No matter what you become, no matter where life takes us, you’ll always be my Luna. My only love.”
His words pierced through the guarded walls around my heart. Tears prickled my eyes, and I looked away for a moment, trying to compose myself.
How could someone love me so deeply, even when I had failed to see his worth in my past life? Even
when I had chosen Ryan over him back then? Yet, here he was, steadfast and unwavering.
“Lirian.” I said finally, my voice trembling, “it feels like you’ve loved me for lifetimes.”
He stopped our gentle spinning and held me closer, his gaze intense yet tender. “I have,” he admitted. “Longer than you know.”
Topened my mouth to ask what he meant, but the song ended, and we were forced to part. We
exchanged a small bow, a gesture of respect, but his eyes lingered on mine, filled with unspoken emotions. The crowd’s applause surrounded us, but it felt like we were in our own world.
After the dance, we retreated to our room. As soon as the door clicked shut, Lirian turned to me, his-
expression unreadable.
Without warning, he crossed the room in a few strides and gently but firmly pinned me against the wall. His hands cradled my face, his touch both tender and possessive.
“Do you know how much you drive me crazy?” he murmured, his voice low and filled with longing.
Before I could respond, his lips captured mine in a kiss that was both passionate and desperate, as though he was pouring all his emotions into this one moment.
My hands found their way to his chest, feeling the steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath my
ingertips.
“Lirian.” I whispered when we broke apart for air, my voice barely audible.
scooped me up effortlessly and carried me to the bed. The way he looked at me, as if I was the
center of his universe, made my heart ache.
That night, under the soft glow of the moonlight streaming through the curtains, we erased the paint of past lives and sealed the promise of this one. We made love. Immense love.
Our bodies felt like one.. Lirian kept hugging me so tight and eventually he was in me.. Ah the pleasure..
Becoming one, getting hot and naked, it felt like a magical union.
“I don’t want this night to end.. Lirian whispered while humping me..
‘Oh Lirian, I want the same.. and he continued, I moaned, he moaned and the night went on…
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over the room. I stirred awake, feeling Lirian’s arm draped protectively around me. As I began to shift, his arm tightened, pulling me closer.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he mumbled groggily, his voice laced with sleep.
I smiled, turning slightly to look at him. “I have a meeting with Zane today,” I replied softly. “It’s important. I can’t miss it.”
H je groaned, burying his face in my neck. “You work too hard, Sophia. Can’t you take a day off? Stay
here with me?”
I laughed lightly, brushing a hand through his messy hair. “You know I can’t. There’s too much to do.”
Reluctantly, he loosened his grip, allowing me to slip out of bed. As I dressed and freshened up, I couldn’t help but feel a renewed sense of purpose. This life was a second chance, and I wasn’t going
to waste it.
As I adjusted my blazer in front of the mirror, Lirian came up behind me, wrapping his arms around, my waist. His chin rested on my shoulder, and his piercing eyes met mine in the reflection.
“You’re amazing, you know that?” he said, his voice filled with admiration.
I smiled softly, leaning into his embrace. “I’m just doing what needs to be done.”
As far as I knew, Ryan was up to his old tricks again. Reports had reached me about his involvement in the black market, particularly in the production and distribution of illegal drugs. It made my
stomach churn.

refused to let that happen again.
This time.” I whispered to myself, “I’ll stop him.”
Lirian’s arms tightened around me, as if sensing the determination in my voice. “Whatever you need,” he said quietly, “I’ll be right here.”
I nodded, a fierce resolve taking root in my heart.
Not only would I build my own business and reclaim my life, but I would also do everything in my power to crush Ryan’s empire. This time, I wouldn’t just survive–I would thrive. And with Lirian by my side, I knew I could face anything.
