Chapter 179
Her lips curved Into a faint smile, a glimmer of hope breaking through her sorrow. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice tinged with both gratitude and exhaustion.
As I spoke, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of emotion myself.
Josiah reminded me so much of the person I used to be–wounded, yet resilient.
But unlike my past self, she had caught Victor’s true nature before it was too late, sparing herself. from a lifetime of regret.
I vowed silently to be there for her as she rebuilt her life.
Just then, a commotion broke the stillness.
Ethan rushed into the hospital corridor, his face a mask of panic. “Where is she?” he demanded, his eyes darting around until they landed on me. “Are you okay? I heard you were hurt!”
Before I could respond, Lirian,, chimed in. “It was serious, Ethan. She was in so much pain!”
Ethan’s face paled as he gripped my shoulders, inspecting me from head to toe. “What happened? Who hurt you? Tell me everything!” His voice was laced with both anger and worry.
I placed a reassuring hand on his arm, shaking my head with a small laugh. “Ethan, I’m fine. Lirian is exaggerating as usual.”
Ethan wasn’t convinced. He grabbed the medical report from a nearby table and scanned it with the intensity of a detective reviewing a case file.
Only when he saw no alarming details did he exhale deeply, his tense posture relaxing ever so slightly.
“Don’t scare me like that again,” he said, pulling me into a fierce embrace. His warmth enveloped me, and for a moment, I felt the weight of his love and concern.
“You’re the most important person in my life,” he murmured against my hair. “If anything ever happened to you… I don’t think I’d survive it.”
I pulled back slightly, looking into his eyes. “Ethan, I promise I’ll take better care of myself. I’m sorry for worrying you.”

He smiled faintly, brushing a strand of hair from my face. “You’d better,” he said softly, though his tone carried an undertone of seriousness. “Because I mean it–I can’t lose you.”
Ethan raised an eyebrow. “Keep me informed about your every moment Sophia, I stay worried about your whereabouts”
“I am fine brother you just don’t have to worry so much” I explained it to him gently..
Ethan folded his arms, watching me closely. “I want you to be happy and healthy, always”
I shrugged. “I will always be happy when you are by my side…my lovely brother”
Ethan sighed, his concern evident. “Just promise me you won’t lose yourself. That world can be toxic, and I don’t want you getting hurt.”
“I’ll be careful,” I assured him.
“Just know one thing,” he said softly, “just know I’m here for you.”
I smiled, leaning into him. “Thank you, Ethan. For everything.”
As I stood there, cocooned in warmth and comfort, I realized that despite the chaos of the day, I was surrounded by people who truly cared for me. And that was more valuable than anything fame or fortune could offer.
This heartfelt moment was interrupted by the sharp trill of my phone.
I reached into my bag, glancing at the screen.
My brows furrowed in surprise as I saw the caller ID. “It’s the director of “Fashion Queen,” I said aloud, baffled. “I haven’t heard from them in years.”
The filming of Fashion Queen had been halted years ago due to an unexpected twist in production.
The director and screenwriter had, midway through filming, decided that the story needed a complete overhaul.
Dissatisfaction with the plot’s direction led to heated debates, and eventually, the project was shelved indefinitely.
For years, the fate of the show remained in limbo, leaving the ending a mystery to both the cast and
the fans.
Then, one seemingly ordinary day, my phone buzzed unexpectedly.
The caller ID revealed a name I hadn’t seen in years–the director of Fashion Queen.
“I
Hello?” I answered, my voice a mix of curiosity and hope.
“Sophia! It’s been too long!” The director’s voice brimmed with excitement.
“We’ve done it! The script is finalized! I know it’s been a while, but we’re ready to pick up where we left off. Are you still interested?”
