Ryan froze. He hadn’t expected to be called out like this in public, and I knew he wouldn’t dare accuse me of bullying someone with all these on us. After all, it could lead to a scandal, or
eyes worse, our breakup.
But Linda, always the actress, clung to Ryan’s arm, her eyes full of fake tears, looking at him expectantly, hoping he would take her side.
Before Ryan could respond, Arman cut in.
“No need to threaten your boyfriend. I already know everything.” His voice was firm, full of authority. “It’s too late to play innocent now. When you do something wrong, there’s a price to pay.”
I could feel my pulse quicken, but I kept my face neutral as Arman stepped closer, his voice dropping but still loud enough for the onlookers to hear.
“Your parents are gone, Sophia. Now, I’m the one responsible for disciplining you.”
With that, Arman’s eyes hardened, and his next word came like a blow. “Kneel.”
“His command hit me in the heart, and for a moment, I struggled to breathe.
The memory of my parents‘ death in the war flashed through my mind, a wound that had never fully healed. While they were celebrated as heroes of the werewolves, their loss had left an unfillable void in my life. I had lost them, and with them, a part of myself.
Arman had struck at my most vulnerable spot, and he knew it.

His dark hair was neatly styled, and his suit was impeccably tailored, emphasizing his broad shoulders and powerful stance.
The room seemed to hold its breath as he took off his gloves, his movements calm and controlled, every step measured. He made his way toward me, his gaze fixed on Arman,, who was now visibly

The man stopped beside me, towering over Arman, his aura radiating authority. Without taking his eyes off Arman, he asked in a low, dangerous voice, “Did you tell her to kneel?”
Arman swallowed, his confidence faltering for the first time. “Who are you?” he demanded, though his voice lacked its earlier conviction.
The man’s gaze hardened. “Iron Claw Pack,” he said simply. “Lirian.”
With Lirian’s arrival, the reception buzzed with conversation, voices rising in excitement and curiosity.
The Ironclaw Pack had always been a source of fascination and fear for many wolves. Situated in the northern territory, it was vast, wealthy, and fiercely guarded. No wolf dared to encroach on its land unless they had a death wish. Many dismissed it as idle gossip–until now.
Tonight, at this very banquet, we were meeting the legendary heir face to face.
Everyone in the room was shocked, except me, who looked at Lirian’s familiar face and was too excited to speak.
It was him, it really was him.
All my original doubts and apprehensions disappeared the moment I saw him.
Although I don’t understand how Lirian in this life changed from a person from the slums to the only son of Alpha.
But as long as he’s standing here, we have a chance at a reunion. Such a fact is exciting enough for

Arman, my cousin, was visibly uncomfortable. His pride as an Alpha of Moonshadow couldn’t tolerate being overshadowed by another powerful figure. His stiff posture betrayed his irritation. “What does it matter to you if I discipline my sister?” he demanded, his voice edged with frustration.
Lirian, however, remained calm. His gaze, cold when facing Arman, softened when he turned to me.
With a gentleness that contrasted his imposing presence, he bent slightly and took my hand, pressing a soft kiss to my fingers. “Miss Sophia is my benefactor,” he said, his voice smooth but firm. “I won’t allow anyone to speak to her that way.”
