Chapter 64
Ryan had always been the male god of our campus.
With his top grades, athletic prowess, and good looks, he was the one all the girls dreamed about. His popularity was unmatched, and he had a fan club that seemed to grow by the day.
With his friendly smile and kind nature, Ryan made everyone feel important, whether they were friends or fans cheering him on.
Linda, however, was in a particularly irritable mood that day.
She had been distracted by troubling news about Ryan’s mother being a gambler.
She had seen firsthand the devastating effects gambling could have on families, and it made her worry for Ryan. The thought that he might be facing such challenges weighed heavily on her heart.
Yet, as she listened to her classmates discuss the tournament and praise Ryan, a flicker of comfort ignited within her.
In a school filled with uncertainty, Ryan remained a shining star.
Being associated with him made her feel more dignified, and she relished that feeling.
Sophia POV:
I sat quietly in the corner of the classroom, my nose buried in a book, choosing to ignore the excited
chatter around me.
In the past, I would have been the first to organize a cheering squad for Ryan.
I had once been his number one fan, and now, reflecting on it, I found that behavior almost embarrassing.
“Did you hear? The club has a particularly handsome new starter this year. I wonder if he’ll come to the tournament,” someone said, their tone curious.
Shouldn’t get your hopes up! I’ve heard he rarely shows up, and it’s tough to catch a glimpse of him,” another girl replied dismissively.
Just then, I noticed Ryan sitting at his desk, his brow furrowed.

His gaze turned towards me, a hint of annoyance etched on his face.
I could tell he was frustrated to see me absorbed in my book.
Did he really think I would come cheer him on after everything?
“Are you coming to the game this weekend?” Ryan asked as he approached my table, his voice tinged with impatience.
I didn’t look up, focusing instead on my book. “I’ll be there to watch,” I replied coolly. Not cheering for you, I thought, but kept that thought to myself.
Ryan sighed, clearly relieved that I wasn’t completely ignoring him.
Linda, who had been sitting not far away, clenched her fingers into fists when she heard Ryan’s question.
It was evident that my indifference irked her.
Once the classroom had cleared out, Linda approached me, her expression shifting from concern to
confrontation.
“You’re obviously wrapped up in this, thinking about how to seduce Ryan! Aren’t you ashamed?” she “accused, her voice sharp.
“Whether or not I’ve been adopted, don’t you already know the truth?” I replied, meeting her gaze without backing down.
I closed my textbook with a thud, refusing to engage in her games any longer.
“Don’t think I’m unaware of your little schemes. I just haven’t had the time to deal with you yet,” I
added, my tone icy.
Linda’s face drained of color, and she bit her lip in frustration, unable to respond.
Match Day
Match day arrived, and the excitement in the air was electric.
4 made my way to the spectator section of the tournament arena, my heart racing.
I found a front–row seat, hoping to get a good view of the action.
The stands were filling up, buzzing with cheers and laughter as students gathered to support their

teams.
Colorful banners waved proudly, each one showcasing the school spirit that filled the stadium.
As the players warmed up on the field, the atmosphere grew more intense, with the crowd chanting and calling out names, their voices blending into a chorus of encouragement.
The smell of popcorn and snacks wafted through the air, adding to the festive vibe.
As the referee blew the whistle to start the match, the excitement peaked, and I could feel the energy in the crowd surging like a wave, ready to cheer for every thrilling moment.
As I settled into my seat, I scanned the crowd for familiar faces. I didn’t see Lirian, but my gaze was quickly drawn to Eric, the boy known for his captivating presence, who had caught my attention just two days before. He strolled confidently through the crowd, his head held high, exuding an aura that was hard to ignore.
“Hey, Sophia!” Eric called out, his voice loud enough to draw the attention of the girls seated nearby. They looked over, intrigued by his boldness.
He sauntered closer, a playful grin on his face. “Shouldn’t you apologize to me for scolding me last time?” he said, raising an eyebrow in challenge.
