And serious he got. In the second half of the game, Lirian played like a man possessed. He was a force to be reckoned with, dominating the field with his skill and determination.
Every movement was precise, every play perfect, and his team’s points racked up fast.
It was like watching an entirely different person–someone who had been holding back but was now unleashed.
The score was quickly becoming lopsided, much to everyone’s surprise.
Usually, in games like these, the stronger teams would ease up a little to keep the score balanced, but not today. Lirian wasn’t letting up. He played like it mattered, like something deeper was at stake.
His teammates stared at him in awe, clearly unprepared for the intensity he brought to what was supposed to be a casual match.
The match ended In a landslide victory, Lirian’s team dominating the scoreboard. The players exchanged stunned glances, not quite sure what had just happened.
*Even though it was just a friendly game, Lirian had shown the kind of raw ability that set him apart from everyone else. He carried himself with the confidence and presence of an alpha, and today, no one could deny it.
On the other hand, Ryan stood off to the side, his fists clenched tightly.
The comparison between him and Lirian had been going on for a while now, but today, it was clear–there was no comparison.
Ryan didn’t stand a chance.
Lirian had outplayed him in every way, and everyone in the crowd knew it.
As Lirian stood there, catching his breath, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of admiration for him. He had proven himself, not just as a player, but as someone who commanded respect.
The atmosphere at the stadium buzzed with excitement as the crowd erupted in cheers for the players on the field.
I cheered loudly for Lirian, my voice lost among the sea of applause and shouts, but still, I gave it my
He’d been incredible today, playing with an intensity that electrified the entire game.

couldn’t help but smile at how well he was doing.
Mia, seated a few rows behind me, overheard my enthusiastic cheers and sneered.
Rolling her eyes, she muttered to Linda, “Look at her, the traitor. Has she forgotten that Ryan represents her own school? Pathetic. It’s a good thing Lirian can’t hear her from here, or she’d probably make him sick with her sycophantic cheering.
Linda, always one to egg Mia on, chuckled lightly. “Honestly, it’s so like her. She’s always trying to make herself the center of attention. Remember how she acted when she was chasing after Ryan? Just desperate for people to notice her.”
Mia raised an eyebrow and leaned closer to Linda, lowering her voice. “Do you think she’s trying to chase Lirian now? As if! Can you imagine? A girl with “her reputation? My god, the audacity!”
Linda shrugged, feigning sympathy. “You know, it’s kind of sad when you think about it. Her parents died, and now she’s just clinging to anyone who might give her attention. If her family had been around, maybe she wouldn’t have turned out like this.”
Their whispered conversation was clearly meant to stay private, but it wasn’t hard to overhear their sharp words.
The p
game is over, and for once I’m not going to hold back.
I walked up to Linda and smiled, ‘What were you talking about?”
Linda was stunned by my aura, she subconsciously pretended to be pitiful, “I, I didn’t, you misheard
me…..
“Did you?” My hand gripped her slender wrist, slightly harder. Linda had been striving for a fragile and slender beauty, so much so that she had little strength to fight me, and she let out a sobbing sound as she was gripped painfully.
Mia said, “Sophia, are you crazy? Let go of her now!”
“I’m just shaking her hand.” I said, ‘And you, are you trying to run a hundred kilometres yet?”
Mia didn’t dare speak
This is the last time, I warned, ‘If I hear you talking about my parents again, I can guarantee you that the lesson I have in store for you will be much harsher than this one.”
They both nodded repeatedly before I let go and returned to my seat.
The game had just ended, with Lirian’s team emerging victorious after a hard–fought battle.
As the players began to exit the field, my eyes stayed fixed on Lirian. His movements were strong, graceful even after such a physically demanding match.
The other girls around me went wild, screaming their heads off as he walked in our direction.
And then, to everyone’s surprise–including mine–Lirian stopped right in front of me.
The chatter and cheers around us faded as every eye in the vicinity focused on the moment. He looked directly at me, his deep, magnetic voice cutting through the noise like a cello’s low hum. “Giv me a bottle of water,” he said.
A girl beside me, clearly desperate for his attention, quickly thrust a bottle of water in his direction. She was practically trembling with excitement, her hand outstretched eagerly.
But Lirian didn’t take it. He continued to look at me, and I felt a wave of heat rise in my cheeks.
I hesitated for only a second before reaching down to grab a bottle from my bag.
My hand was steady as I passed it to him, though my heart was racing. Will Lirian accept the water gave?
