Chapter 128 Reconciliation
Sonya sighed and walked out.
After getting out of the hospital,
of the hospital, Sonya went straight to the Reynolds house.
Benjamin was staying at home to recover. Seeing Sonya, Benjamin burst into tears and turned around to wipe his tears secretly.
“Benjamin, I brought Henry back,” Sonya said.
“Didn’t he want to cut ties with me? Why would he come back?” Benjamin didn’t admit he missed Henry.
Sonya noticed that there was an album on Benjamin’s lap. In the album were all childhood photos of Henry.
Sonya walked over with a smile and moved her head toward the album.
Benjamin felt embarrassed and tried to close the album. Meanwhile, Sonya pointed at a picture where Henry was looking at the camera with tears in his eyes. “Why was he crying Benjamin looked at the photo and cracked a smile. “His mother bought him a panda–shaped cake. Look, it was right there on the table. He wanted to keep it whole and refused to eat it, so I bit off the panda’s ears to tease him. And then he started crying.”
While talking about it, Benjamin kept smiling.
“Look at my son. He’s good–looking even when he’s crying. Every kid in the kindergarten liked to play with him. A little boy even kissed his face, which angered him. Later, to deter those kids, Henry learned boxing and demonstrated a set of boxing techniques in class. Since then, no one dared to be too close to him.”
“Was he mischievous as a child?”
“He behaved, to the point where I thought he would be bullied. He had good grades, listened to us and his teachers, and often helped others. When he was in junior high school, he said he wanted to learn to play the violin and pursue a music career. I was furious and smashed his violin. Later, I reflected on myself and realized that it was probably because he always listened to me. I had gotten used to bossing him around. Thus, when he didn’t do as I wished, I had a hard time accepting it and even resorted to violence. That incident triggered the rebel inside of him. He rapa away from home and was getting more defiant, to the point where we couldn’t communicate with each other.
“After he had a car accident, I didn’t tell his mother but went to Britain right away. When I found out what he had done, I was mad and thought I had to teach him a lesson. Thus, I said something about severing our father–son relationship. How could I treat him like that when he needed his family the most? I regret it all the time, but I can’t let go of my pride and can’t even say sorry to him.”
At that moment, the door of the study was pushed open, and Henry was standing outside with red–rimmed eyes.
Benjamin paused before wiping away his tears.“Why…why’re you back? How do you have the
nerve to come back…”
“Dad, I’m sorry,” Henry interrupted.
Hearing that, Benjamin softened right away.

Henry and Benjamin were hugging each other.
In the past 6 months, Henry forced himself to face his past and accept it. It was a difficult process, but fortunately, he was not alone.
Henry came back for something he would take to the hospital. Henry would stay with Taylor at the hospital at night.
“Then I’ll stay here to keep Benjamin company,” Sonya said.
Henry hugged her.“Thank you.”

Henry lowered his head and kissed her.“Then do you want me to repay you with myself?”

That evening, Sonya had dinner with Benjamin and then took a walk with him. Since Benjamin had been reconciled with Henry, Benjamin was in a great mood and felt much better physically. Benjamin even suggested they walk for 30 more minutes.
That night, Sonya slept in the Reynolds‘ house. Early the next morning, Sonya went to the hospital for a switch with Henry. After all, Henry had to share the burdens at the company with Jason. Sonya spent the whole day talking with Taylor. In the evening, Taylor asked Sonya to go back and rest.
“I don’t need company. Call Henry later and tell him to also go home and rest.”
“Okay. Then call me if you need anything.”
“Okay. Go.”
When Sonya got out of the hospital building, Sonya ran into Ashley.
It had been a long time since they saw each other, so Ashley hugged Sonya in excitement,
“Sonya, I’ve been missing you.”

“Same old. I go to work, go back home from work, and listen to my parents nagging.” “Didn’t you find a boyfriend?”

Instead of apologizing to me, that man even cursed me. I immediately stood up and talked back. That man wanted to fight me. I thought I was not alone, so I turned to look for my boyfriend. Then, Sonya went straight back to the villa where she lived with Henry. Sonya got back by subway and had to walk for a while to reach the villa gate. When Sonya reached the fork near the villa, Sonya remembered that old woman and quickened her pace.
When Sonya arrived at the entrance of the villa, the security guard greeted her.
“Ms. Ella, it’s been a long time since I saw you and Mr. Sullivan. I thought you had moved out.”
“We went traveling.”
“That’s nice.”
Thanks to Henry, Sonya became familiar with the security guards and gatekeepers in the villa
area.
When Sonya went in, she casually turned her head to take a glance and then froze.
Under the streetlight stood a woman, wearing a white sweatshirt, a leather skirt, and high heels. That woman let down her hair, seeming to be staring at her.
That woman resembled Zoey.
And the resemblance was strong.
“Ms. Ella, what are you looking at?” the security guard asked Sonya.
Sonya took a deep breath and whispered to the security guard, “You can see a person under the streetlight across the road, can’t you?”
Sonya regretted it the second she asked that. Sonya thought, “What am I thinking?“”
The security guard looked over right away. After a while, he said, “Someone is there? Why can’t I see?”
Sonya’s heart skipped a beat, and her breath caught in her throat.
