Sonya didn’t have time to pick up the umbrella and hurriedly ran towards home. She ran all the way to the doorstep and was about to take out the keys to open the door, but she was startled by a dark object in the corner.
Fortunately, the lamp by the doorstep was voice–activated, and as she let out a scream, the light flicked on. Then, the dark mass moved and slowly lifted its head to look at her. It was the boy across the street!

After comforting herself, Sonya gradually relaxed.
She went upstairs and took a hot bath, then made some sandwiches. She remembered that boy and looked out through the window. He was still curled up there.
Sonya sighed and packed up the sandwiches, then went out with an umbrella and handed the sandwiches to him.
After receiving the sandwiches, the boy did not say thank you. Instead, he walked home with a á victorious posture.
Sonya returned to the room and got herself some new sandwiches, but she couldn’t eat any because she had no appetite.
In the middle of the night, she was startled by the sound of a motorcycle again. She abruptly opened her eyes, unsure if she was dreaming until she saw a beam of light flash through the
curtains.
She hurriedly got up and went to the window, peering out through the gap in the curtains She saw a man wearing a black leather jacket riding a motorcycle stop in front of her door, deliberately revving the engine loudly several times before riding across the street. The person who was planning to hit her with a motorcycle on the roadside was the man living across her house!
Sonya tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Her mind was filled with images of her mother being hit that year, as well as the image of herself almost being hit last night. These images echoed each other as if confirming a truth.

Later, Lily called her and invited her to go to Jake’s tavern for a drink.
Lily had been busy filming these days. When the shooting was over, she had some time to meet up with them, so of course, she would go.
Sonya changed her clothes and went out. She deliberately glanced at the opposite side. The door of the house was locked from the outside, so both the father and son were probably out. She walked a distance and then returned, not feeling at ease. She made sure that her door was locked before finally leaving with peace of mind.
As Sonya was about to enter the tavern, a plump woman stopped her.

Sonya turned her head and looked at the woman. She was slightly stunned before she remembered who she was. She was Liam’s ex–wife, and they had crossed paths due to a misunderstanding.

The woman laughed heartily and said, “My name is Gisselle Duffy, you can call me Gisselle.”

They shook hands and then went their separate ways after entering the tavern.
Lily waved at Sonya from the bar counter. Sonya approached, and before she even sat down, Lily immediately hugged her arm, looking surprised.
“Do you
know Gisselle?”
“Just an acquaintance. We don’t know each other well.”
“Acquaintance will be enough. Take me to her private room. She is currently working on an attractive project, and many actors are eyeing it. I want to play a supporting role.”
“Is it appropriate?”

Yusuf handed him a cigarette and then held up a lighter to light it for him. “Everyone, please have a seat. Ms. Ella, please join us,” Gisselle said.
Sonya didn’t expect Henry to come, but since she was already here and had spoken, there had to be a result.
