Calvin’s hometown wasn’t big, and the most luxurious hotel in town was just three stories high. But to be fair, it was decorated quite festively.
Sonya went to park the car, while Calvin went to offer his wedding gift.
After she parked the car, she felt uneasy and subconsciously glanced at the rearview mirror. Of course, she couldn’t see Henry, but she couldn’t shake off the unsettling feeling as she thought of him when he was chasing after the car.

She got out of the car and walked towards the hotel.

“You make it sound like 5,000 dollars isn’t a lot at all. Your good days are coming.” Someone clicked their tongue.
Complimented and envied by their relatives and friends, the parents of the bride, Victoria Holland, were beaming.
Sonya entered the hotel lobby, and a man holding a baby walked towards her.
“Ms. Ella?” he asked.
Sonya nodded and asked, “You are?”
“Oh, I am Calvin’s high school classmate. He asked me to wait for you here. He said find him on the third floor after parking.”
“I see. Thanks.”

Sonya walked up the stairs. When she passed the second floor, she saw a man wearing a suit with
a bowtie and a red flower entertaining guests.
She presumed he was the groom. To put
it bluntly, he was short, ugly, and bald. But he seemed like a nice person, always smiling and greeting guests.
After a quick glance, she continued walking upstairs. She went up to the third floor and came out of the staircase, where she saw Calvin and Victoria talking.

Calvin stared at Victoria for a long time, at a loss for words. He thought, “What does she mean? Does she want to keep me? Am I a gigolo in her eyes?

“She claims that she loves me, and the reason why she can’t marry me is because I’ve got no money or capabilities? That’s nothing compared to this.‘
Victoria continued, “You don’t have a girlfriend anyway. Stop hesitating. Besides, 1,500 dollars is a lot. You know how much you’re worth. This is a great deal.”
Sonya smiled; she couldn’t believe how outrageous Victoria was. Then she walked forward.
“Who said he didn’t have a girlfriend? If he didn’t have a girlfriend, who am I?”
Upon hearing Sonya’s voice, Victoria was a little flustered, afraid that their conversation was overheard. She turned around and saw Sonya; thinking back to what Sonya had said, she pursed her lips.
“You’re his girlfriend?”
Sonya raised her right hand and showed Victoria the ring on her ring finger.“You may think of me as his fiancée if you’d like.”
Victoria snorted, “He has money to buy a ring? I’ve been dating him for so long, and he never bought me one.”
“Because you weren’t worthy,” Sonya sneered.

Sonya didn’t give her a chance to speak.“And you offered to keep him? How much?15,000 dollars

She hesitated for a few seconds and then decided not to stop. However, just as she was about to drive past him, he suddenly stood up and blocked the road.
He looked at her, his mouth kept opening and closing, his lips trembling. It seemed he was terrified.
