Brian breathed heavily. He first glanced at Sonya and then ran towards the building.

It was an old residential building with no elevator. The two of them ran up to the fifth floor and saw a seven or eight–year–old boy about to push another hanging flowerpot down.
Brian hurriedly ran up, but it was too late to stop it as the boy had already pushed the flowerpot down.
Hearing a loud bang downstairs, Sonya felt that her heart was also jumping violently. She hurriedly leaned on the railing and looked down. Seeing that the flowerpot didn’t hit anyone, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Upon hearing the boy’s words, the middle–aged man became furious and started rolling up his sleeves.

Brian furrowed his brows and said to that man, “Firstly, I didn’t hit your son. Secondly, aren’t you going to ask what your son did?”
“You didn’t hit him? But my son is crying
crying in pain!” the man said unreasonably.
“You can check on your son to see if he has any injuries!”
“So you actually wanted to hurt my son? That’s outrageous!”
The middle–aged man was being unreasonable. He was protecting his son, right or wrong, which made Brian furious.
““Do you know that your son threw the flowerpot from here and almost hit both of us?”
Hearing this, the man didn’t look down. He just snorted and said, “How do you know it was my son who did it? Do you have any evidence?”
“We saw it with our own eyes!”
“You’re falsely accusing a child! I must teach you a lesson today!” the man said, and he even started to attack Brian.
Brian had no choice but to let go of the boy. But he didn’t want to fight with the man, so he could only step back and dodge.
Sonya’s eyes flickered as she thought about how to deal with this kind of unreasonable person. She had learned a few tricks from Henry.
She said to Brian, “Prof. Wesley, maybe we really wronged this child!”

The man slapped the naughty boy again, causing the boy to cry loudly.
After punishing the boy, the man apologized to Brian and Sonya, promising to properly discipline his son and never let him play with those flowerpots again in the future.

Sonya smiled and said, “Someone taught me that when dealing with unreasonable people, you have to be even more unreasonable than them.”
“That person who taught you must be even more cunning than you,” Brian remarked.
“Cunning?” Sonya didn’t think it was appropriate to describe Henry with that word. But after careful consideration, she found no word was suitable to describe him. So, she replied, “Him? Well, he’s very unique.”
When Brian went to pull his bicycle up, he found that the handlebar had been knocked askew by the second flowerpot.
He sighed helplessly, “Why do I feel unlucky every time I meet you?”
“Really? What happened when we first met?” Sonya asked.
