Chapter 212 Spring Outing

Jack was convicted of intentional murder and sentenced to death.
Upon hearing this result, Sonya was stunned for a while. She couldn’t really comprehend why Jack hated her so much. Besides being born from the same father, they had no other connection. Why did he repeatedly harm her and even go as far as to kill someone just to harm her?
She couldn’t understand, she really couldn’t understand.
“Because his life was a failure, he needed someone to foot the bill for his failed life, it’s as simple as that,” Calvin shrugged and said.
Sonya let out a sigh and said, “One can only say that harming others ultimately harms oneself.”
Calvin had something to do in the afternoon, so Sonya was alone at the clinic. She was busy all the way until the evening, and when she finished work, she received a phone call from her neighbor aunt.
“Sonya, I saw someone rummaging through your old house over there. Should we call the police?”
Sonya raised her eyebrows, the old house had already been demolished by her, now it was just a pile of ruins.
I went to take a look.”
Arriving at the old house, she noticed there was indeed a dark figure rummaging through a pile of ruins. She took a few steps closer, took out a flashlight, and shone it over. It turned out to be a woman.
“It was me.”
Upon hearing the sound, Sonya turned her flashlight away, and when she turned back, she saw her own face.
It was Kristina.
“What is this?”
Kristina took a deep breath and said, “When the house collapsed, their luggage was buried underneath. It’s fine to buy new clothes, but my parents and grandmother’s identification cards were still in the luggage.”
Sonya looked at Kristina and continued to dig, furrowing her brow.
The old house was two stories, and their luggage was on the first floor, so it was buried very deep. It was especially difficult to dig it out by oneself, relying solely on human strength.
She thought for a moment and made a phone call to the excavator operator who had previously pushed this house.
Half an hour later, the driver arrived driving an excavator.
“Ms. Ella, if it weren’t for you paying more money, I really wouldn’t take this job. I was afraid you would snatch my excavator again and smash it all over the place,‘ the driver said, seeing Sonya wiping her sweat first.
Sonya apologized, “I couldn’t do it this time.”
She first called out Kristina and then had the driver drive the excavator in to start digging.
Jack’s case was sentenced,” Kristina said.
“The police station called me.”
I, I didn’t expect that he really, really killed someone, and it was two people.
“Um.”
Kristina sighed, “Once Jack’s case was sentenced, Grandma couldn’t accept being hospitalized anymore, and my parents aged a lot all of a sudden.”
Sonya remained silent this time, and if forced to comment, she would only say, “You reap what you sow.”
“I apologize on their behalf for missing you,”
“No need, I just wanted them to leave my life and never appear again.”
“I will send them back to their hometown and will never bother you again in the future.”
“That’s good.”
After a while, the master finally found their luggage.

He scooped it up with a shovel, then turned around and scattered it in front of Kristina.
Kristina picked up the suitcase, but as she lifted it, everything inside the suitcase scattered out.
She put the clothes into the large bag she had brought, then rummaged through it and found her ID card, throwing back the rest of the
miscellaneous items.
The master saw that she had finished tidying up and filled the remaining things back into the bucket.
Sonya gave Kristina a ride to the subway station on her way, and when they got off the car, Kristina hesitated to speak.
“What do you want to say?” Sonya asked.
Kristina thought for a moment and said, “I got married.”
Sonya nodded, “Congratulations.”
“I would have settled in this city. If we ever met one day, I would pretend not to know you. I know that’s what you
“Okay.”
Kristina smiled at her and then turned around to walk towards the subway entrance.
would want.”

Sonya watched Kristina’s figure disappear and let out a long sigh. She didn’t dislike Kristina, she wasn’t greedy, rude, or shameless like the rest of the Ella family. In fact, she had even tried to stop them. It’s just that she wanted to cut off all ties with the Ella family, and in order to do that, she couldn’t have any contact with Kristina.
When I got back home, it was already almost eleven o’clock.
Pushing open the door, she immediately caught a whiff of the aroma of cooked food. She felt puzzled for a moment, and then noticed the wide–open balcony glass door, guessing that the fragrance was coming from the next door.
She walked to the balcony and the fragrance became stronger, indeed it was coming from the next door.
Sonya rubbed her stomach; she hadn’t had dinner yet. The food next door smelled so good; she couldn’t help but sniff it for a while. However, despite being hungry, she was more tired, so she didn’t want to cook.
Poorly, he sniffed for a while and then went to sleep with saliva in his mouth.
The next day, Sonya woke up early and prepared sushi, bread, fruits, and some snacks. Then, she walked to Brian’s house downstairs.
She had just arrived, and Brian happened to be taking Milton downstairs.
“Sonya!” Milton exclaimed happily as he saw her, and he rushed towards her.
Sonya took a step back after he bumped into her, and then she playfully bent down and hugged him.
Although Milton was almost ten years old, he was much smaller than his peers due to his previous illness. Additionally, his timid nature, partly influenced by being raised by his mother, also contributed to his lack of courage.
So Milton actually resembled a seven or eight–year–old child, a bit naiver.
“We were still thinking about going to pick you up downstairs at your house!” Brian laughed.
“Let me pick you up instead.”
Sonya smiled at Brian and noticed that he had dark circles under his eyes, guessing that he hadn’t slept well last night. This kind of illness, in its advanced stage, would continue to ache and there was no way around it.
They drove to the meeting point and then took the school bus.
The three of them sat in a row, while most of the other students were also accompanied by their parents.
“Milton, your
dad is so handsome, and your mom is so beautiful,” said a bespectacled male classmate admiringly as he looked at Milton.
Milton pursed his lips and didn’t explain anything.
The male classmate spoke loudly, attracting the attention of others towards them. Sonya was forced to greet the other parents one by one, but everyone was quite friendly.
The school arranged a spring outing to a picking garden. As soon as the bus stopped and the door opened, it was like the floodgates had been opened, and the children happily ran into the field.
The teacher couldn’t control it and had to ask the parents to keep a close eye on their own children.

Sonya and Brian caught up with Milton, who was explaining to a little boy with glasses the different types of tomatoes. Milton also mentioned that tomatoes come in big, small, red, green, and yellow varieties, but they all taste pretty similar.
“Wow, Milton, how did you know so much?”
“My family used to plant.”
“Did your family grow tomatoes?”
“I used to have a vegetable garden at home, where I grew all kinds of vegetables.”
“Wow, so you had a big villa at home, and in the villa, you even had a vegetable garden.”
Milton tilted his head, not understanding the connection between gardening and a large mansion.
However, before he could ask clearly, the boy was called away by his mother.
“Let’s go to the greenhouse over there and pick some strawberries,” Sonya suggested.
Milton nodded eagerly and ran towards the greenhouse shed.
Sonya turned around and looked at Brian, who was lying against the tree trunk, holding his stomach and wearing a pained expression on his face.
