It was like dropping a bomb.
Julian Jennings shouted, “Sonya, shut up!”
Seraphina West was taken aback.“What are you talking about?”
Mrs. Jennings’s eyes widened.“You dare say such things? You…”
Sonya raised an eyebrow.“Don’t you go online? Her affair with Liam? You know nothing?”
“I said shut up!” Julian Jennings bellowed, veins bulging in his neck.
“You’re slandering me!” Seraphina West cried.
“Get out here! I’ll rip your mouth apart!” Mrs. Jennings shrieked.
“Wow, a family ganging up on one person,” Lily Lane said, recording a video.“I’m sending you to trending topics.”

They were still recovering from their last scandal. Seraphina West pulled Mrs. Jennings away.
“Let’s forget about her.”
Sonya scoffed and yelled after them, “Just a friendly reminder: paternity tests can be done before birth!”
Once they were inside and the gate was shut, Lily Lane put away her phone and laughed.“That family is hilarious!”
“See? When they bully you, hit them where it hurts!”
The custom furniture was installed, and appliances were arriving. Mr. Givens suggested she stay elsewhere for a few days to let the new furniture air out. She spent that time with Lily Lane on
set.
Director Davis’s production was fast–paced. After a brief start–up meeting, filming began immediately. The crew was divided into three units. The lead actors were in Harvard University, Lily Lane (a small supporting role) in California University.
Lily Lane’s scenes were few, so Sonya’s job was easy–coordinating with the assistant director, assisting the crew, and fetching drinks. The dry weather and irregular hours led to many actors suffering from heat, breakouts, and sore throats, sometimes affecting filming.
While preparing tea for Lily Lane, Sonya started making tea for the other actors based on their individual needs. Word spread; the crew started requesting her tea. She set up a tea stand in California University, offering various blends for different ailments–sore throats, dry skin, irritability, large pores, nosebleeds, dry hair, etc.
The assistant director of California University, Mr. Sterling, was a man in his forties with poor lung health. His cough worsened despite medication. Sonya took his pulse and prepared a special ea. After a few days, his cough disappeared, and his skin cleared. Mr. Sterling, usually stern, became much kinder to Lily Lane.

California University’s atmosphere was harmonious. The actors would gather at Sonya’s tea stand after work. Knowing she was a gynecologist, they sought her advice. Actors from Unit B, nearby, also started coming for tea. The whole set was surprisingly relaxed; the efficiency was so high that the directors didn’t object.
“I asked you to be my assistant because I was scared,” Lily Lane confided in Sonya.
“Scared?” Sonya looked at her.
“Before my wedding, I was in a drama where a senior actress bullied the newbies, including me.”
“You? Bullied?”
“She had powerful connections. I was miserable. After that drama, I didn’t want to act anymore. That’s why I quit and got married. Coming back, I was terrified of another toxic set.” “This set is good. You seem to get along well with everyone.”
“It’s because of you. You helped me fit in. And because of you, everyone is more understanding and supportive.”

“Sonya, you’re amazing.” Lily Lane hugged her.
“Julian Jennings is a fool for giving you up.”

Sonya saw Director Davis through a monitor. He was in his fifties, with gray hair. He rubbed his temples after scolding the actresses.
Luna Stone, in costume, exited the studio. Sonya realized she was also in the drama. Luna Stone saw her and approached.
“You’ve set up a tea stand in Harvard University! Amazing. You’ll do anything to get ahead. You even slept with Young Master Reynolds.”
Everyone looked at Sonya. Luna Stone picked up the tea Sonya had made and threw it on the ground.
“Her tea probably tastes like sex.”
