Henry was enjoying his little game with Julian Jennings when he heard the commotion, turned, saw Sonya, and quickly dropped the showerhead.
Sonya, what are you doing here?”
Sonya glared at him, then at Julian Jennings, who’d managed to pull himself out of the tub. He leaned against the edge, catching his breath. Seeing Sonya, his eyes lit up, and he slipped out of the tub.
“Sonya, I caught him! Look, he’s not even dressed! And his little girlfriend must still be here…” Julian Jennings rushed towards Sonya, frantically searching, then spotted Reynolds Hui standing beside her.
It’s her! She’s Henry’s girlfriend!” Julian Jennings exclaimed.
Sonya took a deep breath and gave him a withering look.
Reynolds Hui giggled.“Jennings Ge, don’t you recognize me?”
‘You…” Julian Jennings was confused.
“Even though girls change a lot, you shouldn’t not recognize me! Are you getting old and losing your eyesight?” Reynolds Hui shook her head.
Julian Jennings stared, finally recognizing her, and then froze.

Julian Jennings, are you trying to be funny?”
Julian Jennings’s face darkened. The full–length mirror in the living room reflected his drenched,
disheveled state. He clenched his fists and stormed out.
At the door, he hesitated, turning back to Sonya.“You and he won’t last!”
Sonya had tolerated enough.“Julian Jennings, if you’re sick, see a doctor. Stop bothering others! And instead of trying to catch my husband cheating, why not catch your own wife? She’s probably with Liam right now!”
That enraged Julian Jennings. He kicked the wall, glared at Sonya, and left.
Sonya sighed. What a bizarre situation.
“You!” Henry narrowed his eyes and gestured to Reynolds Hui.
Reynolds Hui immediately looked nervous.“I wasn’t trying to escape. I was just feeling cooped up. in the hotel. I went for a walk, I…”
‘Go back to your room!”
“Ah!”
Henry grabbed Reynolds Hui by the back of her neck, practically lifted her, and deposited her in her room, locking the door.
Before Sonya could react, Henry pressed her against the wall.

His kiss overwhelmed her, intense and urgent, like a traveler desperate for water in the desert.

“Henry…”
She tried to regain her composure, but his deep, fervent gaze capioned ber “Sonya… how long has it been since I made love to you?” he murmured agats her lips.

Sonya’s mind was already clouded. It was just a simple question, yet she felt like she’d been wronged, tears welling up.
“A very, very long time.”
He lifted her, carried her to the bed, and lifted her shin…
Lost in the heat, Sonya realized it had indeed been a very long time. She’d missed him intensely. Afterward, Henry carried her to the shower. She was always too exhausted afterward, needing him to carry her.
Under the warm shower, he gently comforted her, watching her smile – a mischievous smile. She’d blush and bury her face in his chest.
He dried her, then blow–dried her hair, a painstaking process he patiently completed. He carried her back to bed.
“Hungry?” he whispered, kissing her.
Sonya nodded. The hospital trip with Reynolds Hui and then this had left her famished.
“Wait.”
He got a cake from the fridge and fed her a bite.
“Delicious?”
Sonya, still lying on the bed, lazily nodded.
“I can do it myself.”
“Are you satisfied with my performance?” Henry winked, smiling.
Sonya blushed.“Pretty… good.”
“Since you’re satisfied, let me feed you cake, okay?”
Sonya giggled.“Okay.”
He lifted her, held her close, and fed her bite by bite.
“I specially went to An City to buy this for you. Their taro cake

Sonya took a bite, then widened her eyes. “What kind of cake?”
Henry paused.“Taro cake?”
Sonya pursed her lips.“I’m allergic to taro.”
The reaction was swift. Sonya felt like her throat was filled with thorns; her face and body started itching, her lips swelling.

“Who?” Henry thought.“I don’t remember.”
“Humph!”
“But you ate several bites without noticing it was taro?”
I only ate it once when I was a child. I had an allergic reaction. I haven’t had it since. I didn’t recognize the taste… it was actually pretty good.”
What a night. Back at the villa, Sonya collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep, but restlessly. Her face itched. She tried to scratch, but Henry held her hands. She tossed and turned, frustrated, and Henry held her close, pacing the room.
“Sonya, I’m sorry.”
‘Don’t give me taro cake again.”
“Okay.”
“I like matcha cheesecake.”
I remember. I’ll buy that next time.”
Her itching continued, and he used his tongue to soothe it.
“Ew, gross,” she said with disgust.
He teased her, pinning her and kissing her intensely.
Sonya laughed, unable to stop. My face is swollen like a pig’s head, and you’re still kissing me? You beast!”
Henry stayed home to take care of Sonya. They planned to relax. But just after lunch, Reynolds Hui called Henry.
He hung up after a couple of sentences and continued reading with Sonya.
Just as Sonya was about to ask, her phone rang – Reynolds Hui.
“Aunt Ella, Uncle doesn’t care about me anymore. And you don’t care either. I’m going to jump off the hotel roof. I don’t want to live anymore!”
