Chapter 80: Worrying About Someone Else’s Wife? Mind Your Own Business!
Sonya frowned and walked to the door.
She only saw his back a man in a patient’s gown, looking flustered. Even from the back, she recognized him.
Julian Jennings.
Sonya slept until evening. She saw light from the bathroom and heard the shower running Knowing Henry had arrived, she waited patiently.
he smiled and kissed her.
He came out after while. Seeing her awake, he “Your hair is still wet!” Sonya dodged.
Henry hugged her and kissed her again, then took out the food from the warmer. He went to dry his hair while she ate.
She recognized his cooking: yam porridge, stir–fried greens, and two steamed buns.
“I didn’t have much time today, so I just made a little. What do you want tomorrow?” he said after drying his hair.
Sonya finished eating, but there was plenty left. Henry came over and ate the rest.
“Are you sleeping here tonight?” Sonya asked, seeing him in pajamas.
Henry raised an eyebrow.“Where else?”
This is a hospital.”
“It could be 11
and I’d still be here. Wherever you cemetery,

Sonya’s heart fluttered. She softly said, “Oh.”
Henry washed the containers and dishes, then attended to business while Sonya watched TV- Later, he joined her.
When Sonya went to the bathroom, he followed.
“I’m not crippled!”
Sonya glared at him and went alone.
In the bathroom trash can, she saw a bloodstained white shirt. Henry wasn’t injured, so the blood belonged to someone else.
Sonya shuddered, her mind racing. She spent a long time in the bathroom, calming herself before returning.
She lay in bed, and Henry naturally pulled her into his arms.
“Does your wound still hurt?” he asked.
Sonya shook her head.“Not anymore.”
I asked the doctor. You can be discharged in a week.”
“Mm.”
“Something on your mind?”
Sonya looked up at Henry’s concerned face.
Husband,” she said.
Henry raised an eyebrow.“Yes?”
She looked at him intently.
“I want your three–fresh–filling dumplings tomorrow.”
“Henry kissed her tenderly “Okay.”
That night, Sonya
Sonya had a nightmare, reliving the scene in that filthy room. She cried out, then was enveloped in a warm, strong embrace.
“Sonya, I’m here,” his voice was gentle yet commanding I’m here. No one can hurt you.” Sonya didn’t open her eyes but snuggled closer.
“Husband.”
“Yes?”
“I love you.”
“Sweetheart, I love you too.”
Henry had already left for work when Sonya woke up.
While eating breakfast, she saw that shadow at the door again. She ignored it, but he lingered. “Julian Jennings, what do you want?” she asked angrily.
He finally appeared, holding a box of pastries. He awkwardly placed it on the table.
“Chestnut cakes from Hu Kang Street. Your favorite.”
Sonya looked at the cakes, frowning.“I don’t like chestnut cakes. I don’t like sweets.
“But you always asked me to buy them.”
It was because he always bought them for Seraphina West. She pretended to like them, hoping he’d buy them for her. But in eight years, he never bought her a single one.
Sonya almost said that, but stopped. There was ΠΟ point; they were over. “Thank you,
but please stop. It’s annoying,” Sonya said calmly and sincerely. Julian Jennings’s face darkened.
“Are you seriously injured?”
Sonya sighed.“No, it’s none of
your concern.”
“Henry is so amazing, yet he let you get hurt. He doesn’t care about you! If he did, he would protect you.
“Julian Jennings!” Sonya snapped.“What right do you have to criticize my husband?” Julian Jennings glared at her. “I care about you!”

“I’m going to divorce Seraphina West.”
“I don’t care.”
“We can start over.”
Sonya
clenched her fist.“If you harass me again, I’m calling security!” “Harassment? You think my concern is harassment?”
Julian Jennings paced back and forth, then stormed out. But at the door, he stopped.
“I… I have a peptic ulcer.”
Sonya turned away, ignoring him.
Julian Jennings shouted, “I gave you a chance. Think carefully. Don’t regret it later!” He finally left..
Sonya rubbed her temples. She still had a week left in this hospital. Should she consider transferring?
Henry sent her a meal. It was chicken soup, a meat dish, a vegetable dish, and rice. The soup was greasy, the meat dish too salty, the vegetables tasteless, and the rice undercooked. She ate two bites and couldn’t eat anymore.
Then Seraphina West burst in, seeing the food, her anger escalating. She flipped the table over. Sonya quickly moved, avoiding the debris.
Seraphina West, what’s wrong with you?!” Sonya shouted.
Seraphina West pointed at her, breathing heavily.
to steal to steal my man!” “Sonya, you’re so cheap! One Henry isn’t enough? You had Sonya’s face hardened.“Explain yourself. When did I steal Julian Jennings from you?” “Don’t lie! As soon as Henry left, you called him to see you. You’re so lonely, so dependent on men! And that meal I painstakingly made, you ate it so casually!”
Sonya stared at the food on the floor, stunned. “You made this?”
“Don’t play dumb! Julian Jennings brought it! You’re both shameless, disgusting me!” Sonya didn’t know if Seraphina West was disgusted, but she was. She wanted to throw up. Julian Jennings arrived and grabbed Seraphina West.
“Seraphina West, if you’re going to cause trouble, do it with me! Don’t involve Sonya. I came to see her because I was worried. I brought the food because she had no one to take care of her!”
