Sophia saw the redness in his eyes. After the initial shock, she tried to apologize, but he didn’t give her a chance, pulling her forcefully towards the hospital exit.

She tried to explain, to calm him, but his emotions were spiraling out of control. After a moment’s thought, she wrapped her arms around his waist, kissing his chin and slipping her hand under his shirt.
“Honey, you know how much I love you. I swear I’ll never leave you. I want you for life.” Sean looked down at her, his breathing growing heavier. He finally kissed her fiercely. He pushed her onto the bed, his hands gripping her waist cruelly. He was a wild animal, panting, devouring her.
Sophia felt his trembling,

He said that if she died, he would too.
But they’d only known each other for three months.

She turned the handle; the door was locked from the outside.
Stunned, she pounded on the door.
“Sean? Honey? Are you out there? Why is the door locked?”
