Chapter 97: None of You Have Eyes
After the director’s exclamation, he quickly had someone fetch napkins, carefully dabbing at the
wine stain.
“We can’t leave a mark! We’ll have to pay for it!”
Seeing the director’s distress, the crew held their breath. They carefully blotted the wine, but at Jarge stain remained.
Director Li slumped onto the coffee table, defeated.
“Well, it’s not my fault, Qiao Ke’an mumbled.
Her words drew everyone’s attention.
“Why are you all looking at me? If she hadn’t dodged, the wine wouldn’t have gotten on the painting! If you’re going to blame someone, it’s her fault!” Qiao Ke’an pointed at Sophia. Sophia frowned. I’m allowed to dodge when you throw wine at me?”
“What are you dodging for? It’s just a little wine; wash your face, and you’re clean. But now the painting is ruined, thirty million dollars! A poor doctor like you can’t afford to pay for it!”
“So, who threw the wine?”
“I did. So what? But it’s ultimately your fault!”
Sophia found the situation utterly absurd. The world was full of strange people. “The budget is limited; we can’t pay for this. You two need to figure out how to compensate. And not just compensate; you also need to apologize to the Reynolds family. If they don’t let us film bere, you’ll be responsible for all the losses,” Director Li said coldly.
Sophia raised an eyebrow. “Director Li, what does that mean? That I’m also at fault?” . Director Li cleared his throat. Two people fighting; to say you’re entirely blameless is
unreasonable.”
Sophia nodded. “Fine. Let’s hear what I did wrong.”
“You…” Director Li opened his mouth, then said after a pause, “You should have prioritized the lead actress. That’s common sense.”
“I’m a doctor, not a lackey.”
“Hey, watch your language!”
“I’m speaking plainly; any normal person would understand.”
“Director Li, where did you find this second–rate doctor? Not only is she clueless but also oblivious to her position! Dare to defy the lead actress and director! Make her pay for the painting! If she refuses, sue her!” Qiao Ke’an sneered.
“How can you bully someone like this? Everyone saw what happened! It’s obvious who’s at fault,” Chloe stormed over, looking around.“Tell the truth, who’s to blame?” But nobody spoke up for Sophia. Some even whispered that it was indeed her fault. Chloe was furious.“Are you all blind or heartless? How can you twist the truth? You…” Sophia, fearing Chloe would become too upset, calmed her. “It’s a minor issue. Don’t get worked

“Minor? The painting is worth thirty million!…Oh, I forgot something, Chloe blinked.) Director Li ran a hand through his hair, exasperated.”Since it’s happened, arguing is pointless.. Figure out how to pay.”
Qiao Ke’an scoffed. “Even if she sold herself, she wouldn’t be able to raise thirty million.” Vivian entered, noticing the commotion. Frowning, she asked what happened. Qiao Ke’an, before anyone else could speak, recounted the incident, placing all the blame on Sophia.
“It’s not my fault at all. It’s entirely her lack of awareness.”
Vivian frowned as she listened, especially when Director Li sided with Qiao Ke’an and insisted on Sophia paying.
“Enough! None of you have eyes? Don’t

you know who she is?”

Director Li, more intelligent than Qiao Ke’an, asked, “Producer Bai, you hired her. How were we supposed to know who she is?”
Vivian took a deep breath.“She’s the wife of the Reynolds family’s heir, the owner of this island, Mrs. Sullivan!”
After Vivian’s announcement, everyone, including Qiao Ke’an and Director Li, froze in disbelief. Chloe scoffed. “You wanted her to pay? She owns this painting!”
“She… she can’t be Mrs. Sullivan, Qiao Ke’an refused to believe it.
Sophia was exasperated.“Do I need to show you my marriage certificate?” “You… you didn’t say anything.”
“You all did the talking! Saying it’s all my fault, that I should pay. Oh, and we have security cameras here. Your eyesight might be poor, so I’ll have them replay the footage. But you might still not understand, which is understandable, so let’s leave this to the police.” “No, no, no!” Director Li quickly apologized.“We can’t make a big deal out of this; we won’t be. able to film!”
“No police! I… I have A reputation to protect, Qiao Ke’an added hastily.
Sophia raised an eyebrow.“No police report, how will we know who’s at fault?”
“It’s her fault!”
“It’s my
fault!”
Director Li and Qiao Ke’an spoke almost in unison.
Sophia smirked, looking at the painting.“How much is this painting worth again?”
Qiao Ke’an trembled slightly.“Mrs. Sullivan, it was unintentional. Could you…
Unintentional?” Sophia crossed her
Sophia crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow at Qiao Ke’an.
Qiao Ke’an quickly apologized.“Mrs. Sullivan, I acted impulsively. It’s my fault! I’m sorry! But thirty million is too much. I… I can’t afford it. Could it be less?”
What did you say earlier? Sell yourself; see how much you can get, Sophia said coldly.

Qiao Ke’an’s face turned pale, then flushed. She had said those words, so smug in her humiliation of others, yet she couldn’t bear to hear them repeated.
“Regarding the compensation for the painting, we’ll discuss it later and provide Mrs. Sullivan with a satisfactory resolution. But for now, we need Mrs. Sullivan to calm down so we can resume filming,” Vivian bowed slightly.
Director Li also bowed profusely, wishing he could slap himself.
-Sophia shrugged.“I’m not that petty. Continue filming.”
The filming schedule was tight, but with this incident, Qiao Ke’an might not be able to focus, and her

As Sophia escorted the injured actress outside, the Anna look–alike rushed in, as clumsy as ever, but she quickly stepped aside when she saw Sophia.
She glanced at Sophia nervously.
“Ye Can, where were you? Get ready; we’re filming your scene!” a crew member called to the blonde girl.
So her name was Ye Can.
Sophia looked back at the girl; even her back was so similar to Anna.
