Chapter 99: People Are Selfish
Vivian lured Sean here and orchestrated this encounter with Ye Can? What was she planning? Back at the villa, a crew member anxiously approached Sophia.
“Dr. Ella, an actress suddenly Tainted. Please come and take a look.”
Sophia told Sean to find Yang sister for accommodation and followed the crew member inside.
The fainted actress was already in a guest room on the first floor.
After examining her, Sophia gave her an injection, and she quickly woke up. After questioning her, Sophia learned she had fainted from excessive dieting and asked someone to bring her somet food.
Leaving the guest room, Sophia saw filming had resumed. She went around to the back and bumped into Yang sister, asking about Sean.
“Sir went inside. Didn’t you see him?”
Sophia went back inside, searching until she saw light coming from a room at the end of the west corridor on the first floor.
This room had been locked; Yang sister said it was a home theater.
As Sophia approached the door, she heard a woman’s voice, “Mr. Sullivan, it’s so hot in here.”
It was Qiao Ke’an.
She gently pushed open the door to see Qiao Ke’an taking off her jacket, revealing her lingerie.
Sophia raised an eyebrow. She was awfully eager.
“Mr. Sullivan, I’m still so hot. Could you help me take this off?”
Sophia looked at Sean; he was sitting on the sofa, legs crossed, a smirk on his lips, watching Qiao Kean with amusement.
When he didn’t respond, Qiao Ke’an licked her lips and approached him. Near him, she pretended to trip, dramatically falling towards Sean.
Sean picked up his lighter and calmly lit it.
Qiao Ke’an stopped abruptly, narrowly avoiding the flame. She patted her chest, already panicked.
Sean scoffed, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and exhaled slowly, his demeanor nonchalant and teasing.
“It’s just the two of us,” Qiao Ke’an said, carefully watching Sean’s expression. “No one else will know.”
She took another step forward, slowly lifting her skirt.
“Why should I? Sean narrowed his eyes, his voice low.
Huh? Qiao Ke’an was startled.
“Even offering yourself needs merit. What do you have? Looks? Figure? Or that overpowering perfume? Sean asked, his voice sincere.
Qiao Kean blushed. I… I’m Qiao Kean. You… don’t you recognize me?”
“No.”
I’m a big star. L…”
Sean raised his hand, impatient.“I have a wife, you know.”
“Am I not better than that Sophia?”
“Don’t you look in a mirror? How can you compare to:
to my wife?”
Qiao Kean lost her composure. So many men fawn over me. You… you’re not normal.”
“Whether I’m normal or not is none of your business. You’re sick! Get help! Stop acting like a fool here!”
“You…”
“Get out!”
Qiao Kean, crying, put on her clothes and ran out, seeing Sophia at the doorway. She quickly wiped her tears.
T… I just wanted to discuss the compensation for the painting with Mr. Sullivan.”
Sophia said flatly, “There’s nothing to discuss. Pay the full price.”
Qiao Ke’an huffed and stormed off.
Sophia pushed open the door and was immediately embraced by Sean, who kissed her deeply.
“Here?” Sophia was placed on the sofa.
Sean said something, and the lights went out, the ceiling illuminating with twinkling stars, creating the illusion of being under a vast night sky.
*Wife, you smell so good.”
Sophia playfully hit his forehead. I didn’t wear perfume.”
“No perfume compares to your scent.”
“I have a scent?”
“Yeah,” Sean buried his face in her chest, inhaling deeply. “I almost suffocated from that woman’s perfume.”
Sophia chuckled; Qiao Ke’an’s perfume was strong but ΠΟΙ suffocating. “Let’s pretend we’re in the wilderness, with the sky as our blanket and the earth as our bed. No one around,” he began unbuttoning her shirt. We can be as loud as we want.
Sophia shivered.“But there are people outside.”
“Don’t worry, the soundproofing is excellent.”
Sophia looked up at the stars. For a moment, she felt as if she were floating in the vast cosmos. The cosmos was cold, but she was burning up, ready to be consumed by Sean’s passion.
That night, they slept in the room.
The sofa was large enough for them to cuddle comfortably.
In the middle of the night, Sophia woke up thirsty, instinctively calling out “Honey,” but received
no response.
She reached back, feeling nothing, and opened her eyes.

Sean wasn’t on the sofa or in the room. She looked at the door; it was slightly ajar
Had he gone out?
Yawning. Sophia got up to get some water. As she opened the door, the sound of a piano reached her ears. She frowned, wondering what time it was and why they were still filming
Coming out of the hallway, she saw Sean standing by the window, gazing intently at something As she approached, she saw the pianist.
Short, stylish blonde hair, black leather jacket, and a mini skirt. She was playing passionately, her music full of energy.
Her outfit was incongruous with the piano but perfectly matched the music Wild, unrestrained, and flamboyant.
She remembered Aunt Sterling’s words: “You two are opposites. You’re gentle like an angel, she’s arrogant and domineering, like a mischievous devil.”
But angels are usually bland; devils,
when tormenting inspire madness.
“Look, he’s captivated by her, even though she’s just a look–alike, a substitute for Anna, Vivian said, appearing beside Sophia.
Sophia frowned, turning to Vivian. “What do you want?”
“You’re in love with him, aren’t you?”
“So?”
“When you love someone, you crave the same love in return. People are selfish,” Vivian said, her gaze lingering on Sean, filled with longing and resentment.
“I was so desperate for his love that I drove myself crazy. You’re the same. Of course, you you’re different; you’re confident Sean loves you.”
“Heh, let him give you the answer.”
Sophia frowned.“I don’t want to know the answer.”
think
“No, you do. He has to choose between you and Anna’s substitute. And if you’re not even better than a substitute, will you still love him unconditionally?”
Just then, Sean moved; he walked towards Ye Can.
