One of the rogues behind me handed Lily a gleaming silver dagger. She held the dagger s if it were a cherished trophy.
“Your face isn’t particularly pretty. Why is Talon so obsessed with it?”
She leaned in, the blade hovering over my skin. “Let’s find out, shall we?”
The dagger pressed against the right side of my face, searing pain shooting through me as it broke the skin.
“Ugh…” I gasped, warmth pooling and trickling down my cheek.
“Oh dear, did I cut you?” her lips twisting into a cruel smirk. “I wonder how Talon will feel when he sees you like this.”
Each word sounded like a sadistic game.
“Lily, are you insane?!” I screamed, struggling against my chains.

too.” Her giggle sent chills down my spine. “But why do I feel like you two are the crazy ones?”
Lily’s expression suddenly changed. “I thought you two would break up if I ruined your wedding. I even poisoned my dog to death. It worked, didn’t it?”
The memory of my mother’s grave desecrated by them flooded my mind.
“How could you! Talon was in love with you, and you manipulated him? You used my mother’s grave to get between us?”
“Because he gave up on marrying you for me. He suddenly cared about you so much after you left! What did you do to make him like that? He was under my claws, and now he’s gone!”
“I don’t know what you‘ re talking about! I came back to my tribe to escape. from both of you. If he’s crazy, that‘ s your problem. Now, let me go!”

The dagger pressed deeper, pain exploding in waves as she carved into me. A deep, long cut marred my face, blood flowing and soaking my clothes.
Lily’s laughter echoed in the grim factory, a cacophony of malice. “Look at you! That ugly scar. I’m sure Talon won’t be obsessed with you anymore!”
She took a step back, admiring her handiwork. Lily‘ s once delicate demeanor was replaced by something predatory.

With that, she raised the blade to my
untouched cheek, a wicked gleam in her eyes. The pain was unbearable, each cut at reminder of the monster she had become.

With each word, she pressed the dagger deeper. I screamed at her while on the brink of shapeshifting, but my wolf was weak against the silver chains, and I ended up turning back to my human form.

symmetrical,” she said, as she stepped back. She tilted her head to the rogues and said. “I’m tired. You can have her now and make sure to drain her blood properly. to offer to the Nightclaw’s Alpha.”
Seeing the two rogues approaching me, I panicked.
“Lily, you’re committing a crime here…” My voice was raspy because of the pain
coming from the wounds on my face. A werewolf cannot hurt anyone in their pack or they will be banished to the outside.

I could almost see the children’s faces in my tribe; their smiles turned into a cry for help.
“It doesn’t matter. I just need the power that comes from your blood, so that Talon can reign with me. Also, my father will clean up whatever mess I make.”
The two rogues loomed over me, their eyes filled with blood lust.
