Chapter 3
Unfortunately, Pierce wasn’t convicted of bigamy
He and Summer hadn’t registered their marriage yet, and they insisted they weren’t living together.
In the end, he was released.
The moment he left the police station, Pierce rushed forward and grabbed my arm.
“Acel Stop being crazy!”
The sudden grip on my already injured arm made me wince in pain.
But Pierce didn’t notice at all, his entire being radiating hostility, his ayos full of disgust
“Ace, have you lost your mind?!”
“Yesterday was supposed to be my and Sum’s wedding day, are you satisfied with how you’ve ruined it?”
“Do you have any idea what kind of situation you’ve put Sum and me in?!”
“Why couldn’t you wait for my explanation, why did you have to be so stupid?!”
“A year apart and you’ve grown stubborn?”
Pierce made no effort to lower his voice, quickly drawing everyone’s attention.
Including Summer’s.
Summer walked over in her high heels, wearing a spring–like smile.
“Brother Pierce, don’t blame little Ace, she just misunderstood.”
“We’ll explain everything to her properly and it’ll be fine.”
The moment Summer’s sweet voice rang out, Pierce was instantly pacified.
Even his expression softened with warmth.
After disappearing for a year, his first act was to hold a wedding with his Moonlight, his first look at me was cold, his first
words to me were to stop being crazy
Yet all his hostility and impatience toward me dissolved with just one word from Summer.
In that moment, it all felt too absurd.
Suppressing the emotions about to burst forth, I looked up.
“Pierce, you’re truly inhuman”
“Who’s really the crazy one here- me or you, who disappeared for an entire year! Then came back only to abandon your wife and doughter to marry another woman”
“What did you expect me to do? Smile and give you my blessing?!”
Unable to contain my breaking point any longer, I shook off his grip and left without waiting for his response.
I decided to let go.
