Chapter 6
That day. I went to the police first
Ireported Summer Brooks and Mr. Pierce for intentional assault.
Summer dismissed it as “just kid’s talk,” while Mr. Pierce claimed “it was just a f
a fall.”
Unfortunately, the case was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
Not only that, Summer, still fixated on being hit, turned around and sued me for provocation and harassment.
I wasn’t particularly surprised.
From the beginning. I knew things wouldn’t be resolved so simply.
When I dared to make that move, it meant I had already anticipated how to handle the consequences.
In the waiting room.
After about ten minutes, an elderly woman suddenly burst through the doorway.
Without a word, she struck Summer with her walking cane.
“You shameless woman! I’ll beat you to death!”
“How dare you hurt my precious granddaughter! How dare you sue my good daughter–in–law!”
“Come on, go ahead, report me! Let the police arrest me!”
After beating Summer until she fled in terror clutching her wounds, she turned and brought her cane down on Mr. Pierce’s knee.
Forcing him to kneel.
“Ah!
“Who do you think you are?! Have you gone mad?! Daring to use violence in a police station!”
“Mother
“Ungrateful son!”
“Disappearing for a year without a word, then coming back to hurt your daughter and harm your wife – do you have any conscience?
“I disown you as my
- on. If you dare touch Ace today. I die right here in front of you!” Eleanor Pierce kept striking her son with her cane. His face turned ashen, but he didn’t dare resist While he wouldn’t fight back, someone else would for him.
“Why shouldn’t wo touch her? Who does she think she is!”
Summer scrambled up from the floor and violently shoved Mrs. Pierce aside. The elderly y woman stumbled, and I quickly steadied her to prevent an accident.
“Mother!”
Mr. Pierce rose in panic to help his mother, but Summer blocked his way. “Brother Pierce, why do you even care about her? That old hag deserves to falllTM
At Summer’s words, Mr. Pierce pushed her away in disbelief.
“When will you stop? She’s my mother, what more do you want?!”
“Haven’t you coused enough embarrassment already?”
“This ends here. I’m telling you.
After shouting, he ignored Summer’s deathly pale face and left
He didn’t even spore her a glance,
2pporting his mother.
I watched Summer’s staggering form with amusement, letting out a mocking laugh. Seems like she’s desperately in love with Mr. Pierce too….
