Chapter 8
Ethan Pierce still refused to divorce me.
His pretense of righteousness was just a cover – he couldn’t let go of Summer’s novelty, nor could he abandon the
stability I provided.
He was too confident
Confident that I loved him to the bone, confident that if I could endure for seven years, I could keep enduring forever.
But he was wrong.
This time, I truly wanted nothing more to do with him.
When love dies, all that remains is endless hatred and disgust!
Since Ethan wouldn’t divorce me, Summer was my only leverage.
I trimmed the recording of Ethan’s voice, removing the beginning and end, then sent it to Summer.
Ignoring her countless colls, I waited tensely at home.
Sure enough, an hour later, the doorbell rang
I pulled my lips into a slight smile and calmly checked the security monitor.
The moment the door cracked open, Summer burst in with a twisted expression.
Without sparing me a glance, she swept the room with her sinister gaze.
Only after confirming Ethan wasn’t present did she finally relax.
I let out a mocking laugh, dismissing her behavior.
Summer composed herself and sat down across from me.
“Ace, don’t try to provoke me. Ethan loves me most- that’s a foot you couldn’t change in ten years.”
Fighting the urge to throw tea in her face, I quietly clenched my fists.
“Summer, Ethan and I are married.”
“You’re the mistress harel Breaking up someone else’s family- are you proud of that?”
My defiance made Summer think I was just being stubborn.
She pressed her finger under my chin, clicking her tongue mockingly.
“Me, breaking up a family? Ton years ago, he was already my lapdog I just hadn’t finished playing with him yet.”
“You only have a marriage certificate. What else do you have? Does he love you? Does he care about you?”
“Wake up – you’re more like the mistress hero.”
Seeing my silence, Summer let out a snicker.
Then she took out her phone to show me photos.
My gaze darkened when I saw the intimate moments captured in them.
“You know, this past year, Ethan has been my absolute servant.”
“When I said I missed him and wanted a home, he’d disappear on you, abandoning you and the child to take care of me for
a year.”
“When I said I was tired, he’d cook and bring me food every day, constantly trying to make me happy.”
“Ace, has he ever treated you this wall?”
My previously calm heart began to race.
Of course not.
With me, Ethan was always the passive one.
One comment about liking cleanliness, and I spent seven years running myselfrogged.
One claim about being unable to love, and I gave up on myself, desperately trying to awaken his love.
Thinking about it now, it’s laughable.
Laughable that I was foolish enough to fall for such a scumbag.
–
It wasn’t that he couldn’t love he just couldn’t love me.
All afternoon, Summer preened like a victorious peacock, flaunting the love she’d received.
I listened numbly while recording everything.
Finally, when she seemed to have said her piece, I turned off my phone.
ted the
Then I lifted the trash can from the floor and unceremoniously dumped it over her head,
“АН”
The stench spread instantly as Summer screamed and yanked the bin off.
Then she violently retched, collapsing to the floor.
“Ugh!”
“Ace! I’ll kill you!”
Summer, pole from vomiting, lunged at me with a twisted face, but I smoothly stopped aside.
She crashed to the floor with a thud.
Without giving her another glance, Timmediately contacted the media.
