Chapter 10
A few days later. Olivia received the news that Jason had been taken away by the police.
Rebecca was found dead in a rented room, and Jason had personally killed her.
Surveillance footage showed him stabbing her heart repeatedly.
“Who told you to tell Olivia? Who made you tell her?”
“She was already my wife. It’s all because of you, bitch. You made me lose everything.”
Rebecca, with blood in her mouth, used her last strength to say to Jason:
“Your Olivia knew your game long before I told her.”
“Jason, it wasn’t you who was playing her, it was she who was playing you!”
Jason might never understand, not even in his final moments, why he had ended up like this.
After Olivia got pregnant, Leo became exceedingly attentive to her.
He would personally prepare delicious and nutritious meals, ensuring she had everything she needed.
He always accompanied her to every prenatal checkup, never once missing a single appointment.
Even when he had pressing matters to handle, he would always prioritize her.
“Your matters are the most important,” he would say, gently patting her head.
With his love and care, Olivia felt that childbirth wouldn’t be difficult.
But as her belly grew bigger day by day, she realized how much she had underestimated the challenges of pregnancy.
Especially since she was carrying triplets.
Her body quickly expanded, like an inflated balloon.
Her limbs became swollen, feeling as though they no longer belonged to her.
At the same time, Leo’s career became busier, and he couldn’t be with her as much.
He would often come home late at night, after she had already fallen asleep.
The next morning, Olivia would wake up and go to the nursery, only to find something new added to the room.
Over time, she began to notice that every day, there was always something new a toy, baby clothes, or a stroller.
She knew it was all from Leo, preparing for their babies.
But recently, he had started speaking less to her, and an uneasy feeling crept into her heart.

He reassured her that he was just busy and that it would pass soon.
Olivia tried not to think too much of it.
For the sake of the babies‘ health, she adjusted her mindset and focused on staying positive.
She would often talk to the babies in her belly, singing soft lullabies.
When they kicked, she felt an overwhelming connection between them.
Soon, her final prenatal checkup arrived.
Leo had been busy with work recently, and she hadn’t seen him for days.
She was eagerly anticipating the birth of the babies.
But when Leo told her he couldn’t accompany her to this checkup, it left her feeling a little sad.
The following day, she entered the nursery, and there, she saw matching parent–child outfits.
It turned out that Leo had come home the previous night.
