Chapter 5
When Liam arrived, all he saw was a swollen body. The face was indistinguishable to the naked eye.
He instinctively refused to acknowledge that she was his wife, his eyes filled with doubt.
The police officer’s eyes flashed with a hint of pity as he said to him, “Sorry. She was like that when we found her. Please accept our condolences.”
Hearing that, Liam instinctively retorted, “You’ve got it wrong. She is not my wife. She promised me she would come home. How would she go to such a faraway place?”
The police officer looked at him sternly. “Are you questioning our professionalism? We have determined by analysis and comparison that she is your wife. Moreover, she committed suicide.”
Upon hearing that I had died by suicide, Liam became even more agitated and insisted on watching
the surveillance footage.
When he saw me jumping into the sea without any hesitation in the surveillance footage, his eyes turned bloodshot. He asked, “Why? Why are you so heartless? How could you abort our child and kill yourself just to leave me?”
“If you were angry with me, I would be willing to spend my whole life making it up to you.”
After saying that, he rushed up and hugged my lifeless body, crying bitterly. The next second, he even slapped his own face.
The onlookers stepped forward and pulled him away, and the next second he fainted due to his
emotional excitement.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw Olivia sitting next to him. The latter held the baby and
moved closer to him.
“Liam, don’t be so sad. After Evelyn committed suicide, our child could have a legitimate identity.”
“We should all be grateful to her.”
After speaking, she leaned over with the baby, trying to put the baby in Liam’s arms.
After all, since the baby was born, Liam had never held him.
However, instead of holding the baby, Liam frowned and questioned.
“What do you mean by that?”
“What is a legitimate identity? What did you say to her when you went to her that day?”
Olivia’s eyes flickered with a hint of panic. She knew she had misspoken.

Just as she tried to find an excuse, Liam grabbed her by the neck and pressed her against the wall.
“I advise you to tell the truth. Otherwise, I don’t mind showing
What I can do.”
Olivia clapped Liam’s hand desperately. Her face was flushed, and she could not catch her breath.
Just then, the baby lying on the bed suddenly started crying.
Liam did not show any mercy. He didn’t let go until Harper arrived and hit him on the head with a
cane.
He loosened his grip painfully, but his crimson eyes were full of monace to Olivia.
“Don’t think that Grandma is protecting you, so you can get away with it. If you don’t explain clearly today, don’t expect to leave this room.”
Harper raised her hand to hit Liam. Unexpectedly, Liam grabbed her hand and said, “Grandma, this
is the last time I will call you this. You should also be blamed for Evelyn’s death.”
At his words, Harper was so angry that she couldn’t even catch her breath. Liam had someone take
her away.
He stared at Olivia until she finally burst into tears and knelt on the ground begging for

Hearing this, Liam grabbed Olivia’s mouth. A hint of cruelty appeared in his eyes.

“I think I should break your mouth. After all, you were so disobedient. You shouldn’t have said
that.”
At this, Olivia, who knelt on the ground, kept moving backward until she reached the corner of the wall. However, Liam did not let her go and dislocated her chin with a strong force.
Olivia rolled on the ground but could not make a sound.
It was only at this moment that Liam felt alive.
