Liam turned to look at the person behind him with red eyes and roared, “Why did you stop me? If it weren’t for her scheming, Evelyn wouldn’t have left me.” 

The assistant, however, held onto Liam’s arms and said, “If you kill her, you will lose your life. She has poisoned you, and your medical report has already come out.” 

Olivia, who was lying on the ground, burst into laughter as she gasped for breath. 

“You are a madman. To survive, I had to strike first.” 

Liam, however, firmly grasped Olivia’s chin and coldly said to her, “How do you want to die? Tell me the poison you gave me, and I will spare the life of your child.” 

Olivia didn’t expect Liam to be so ruthless. There was a flicker of panic in her eyes. The next second, 

she shouted. 

“He is also your child, and the elders of the Carter family won’t allow you to hurt him.” 

Liam laughed and said to her, “Do you think I would care about that child?” 

Before Liam could finish speaking, Harper had someone force open the door to the room and tearfully tried to talk him down. 

“Liam, you cannot do this. You can’t kill your own child and wife for Evelyn.‘ 

Liam turned his head and said to Harper with red eyes, “Grandma, in my whole life, I only have one 

beloved wife. She is Evelyn.‘

“Olivia is so wicked. In order to gain power and status, she not only drugged me in the past, but now 

she has also poisoned me.” 

Harper still took Olivia’s side when she heard the first half of the sentence. But when she heard that Olivia had poisoned Liam, a chill crept into her eyes, and she tapped the ground with her cane. 

“I don’t mind you approaching my grandson with your scheming, but I won’t allow you to harm 

him.” 

“Tell what you’ve poisoned and leave! Liam’s future can’t be ruined by you.” 

Liam’s heart sank at Harper’s words. It turned out that she also knew what Olivia had done back 

then. 

He stopped Olivia, who was about to slip away, and asked, “Who allowed you to leave?” 

“Liam, calm yourself down. If you kill her, your whole life will also be ruined.”

Liam, however, turned a deaf ear and clung to Olivia’s hands. The deadlock was broken only when the assistant picked up the phone and exclaimed. 

The stock of Carter Group was sold off in a vicious way, causing the price to plummet to its lowest point in no time. 

A group of bodyguards burst through the door, protecting Olivia. She laughed arrogantly. 

“Liam, you consider yourself clever all your life, but you fell into my trap. It was all planned by me and Mr. Brook. I forgot to tell you that your son was actually born to me and Mr. Brook.” 

“You are in so much pain now that I feel my suffering has not been in vain.” 

After saying that, she was about to leave. 

Liam’s eyes turned crimson when he heard her words. 

“I’m gonna kill you to avenge Evelyn.” 

After he finished speaking, he smashed open the hotel window and jumped out with Olivia, resulting in his death.
