Chapter 108
SABRINA’S POV:
It took an hour for me to calm down. I wiped my eyes clean and lusted my clothes off. Tears were pointless, they didn’t solve anything. But they took the pressure off at least.
I walked out of the dusty closet, my face a calm mask of composure. The plan in my head was to wash my face so no one would know I had just cried my eyes out and go about my duties as I normally would.
And that was what I did,
Thankfully, Devon didn’t send for me. Either he got someone to clean up the mess I made or he decided I wasn’t simply worth it anymore. I went about my duties as I normally would, trying not to think too much about the fact that Iris and Zayn were somewhere in this palace right now.
“Hey you,” I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. “You’ve been cleaning that spot over and over again now.” The girl in front of me said.
I recognized her as one of Devon’s breeders. “I know what I’m doing.” I replied and turned back to the stain I was trying to get off the floor.
“So I wanted to ask you a question.” She said. “Have you and Alpha Devon had sex?”
My hand froze and my back went rigid. I refused to answer her and slowly continued scrubbing like my life depended on it. “Hey,” She grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. I acted on impulse, slapping her hand off my shoulder.
“Don’t touch me.” I said as calmly as I could.
“Well then answer my question.”
I looked at her blankly. “I have nothing to say to you.”
She’s just a fucking breeder. She doesn’t have any power at all in the hierarchy of this pack. Who the fuck does she even think she is.
She smirked at me, her face full of gloating. “Oh well, whether that has happened or not doesn’t even matter. All that

I raised a brow. “Really.” I said in a bored tone. Ah shit, another Blair. Another fucktoy who thinks she’s important
Don’t “Yes.” She chuckled. “I am alpha Devon’s favorite breeder and that will never change. Not to mention my family is a notable
about getting any go one, and we are known for being fertile. By that alone, my life is worth more than ten of yours. stupid ideas in that head of yours.”
I burst out laughing. I clutched my stomach, my sides aching as laugh wracked my body. “Pardon me…….”
“Is something funny?”
I wiped tears from the corners of my eyes and straightened myself up. “No no, not at all. My goodness, you guys are just a different breed entirely.”

I walked up to her, all traces of a smile gone from my face. “You don’t have anything to worry about, my breeder. I have bigger and much better goals and dreams about my life than being a man breeder. You can rest assured that I won’t be competing with you, heavens no.”
“You stupid…” She raised her hand to slap me. I caught her wrist and shoved her to the side before her hand could connect

to my face. She stumisted buy quickly caught herself and turned o glare at me. “How dare you!”
“Leave me alone.” I said coldly. “You can gobble up your alpha Devon for all I care. I’ve got enough shit on my plate to deal with, and your alpha isn’t one of them.”
Her eye blazed with fury, her chest rose and fell rapidly in an attempt to calm herself down.
“With that, I bid you a good day.” I said pointedly. I turned and walked out of the room, intentionally leaving my cleaning supplies behind.
“That was really fucking smart.”
I jumped, my heart skipped a beat. “Alpha Devon!”
The man leaned on the wall, displeasure written all over his face. He suddenly reached out and grabbed my hand. “Come with me.” He said.
Without giving me much of a choice, he began to drag me away from there. “What did I do this time?” I asked, more like whined.
He didn’t say anything.
And neither did he stop dragging me till we got to a secluded corridor. He spun around and faced me. “What was that you said back there?”
I blinked. “About what?”
“Why didn’t you think being my breeder is a goal for you?”
I stood, startled for a few seconds. He doesn’t mean that ridiculous question, does he?
“Well?” He folded his arms across his chest and snapped.
I realized that he was serious about it.
“I was kidnapped and sold to a slave trade market, alpha Devon. And then, you buy me as your breeder. And I’m supposed to worship at your feet? How on earth will being your breeder be a goal for me considering the terrible circumstances that have led me here? I can assure you that it will never be my dream.”
“So what? You’ll run away again? That’s what you’re thinking, isn’t it?”
“No.” I said, casting my eyes to the side so I couldn’t meet his eyes.
He scoffed. “Yeah right. Like anyone will believe that.”
“I’m not planning to run away.” I said firmly.
“Did you have a good life? From wherever it is you were kidnapped. Did you have a good life there? One that you’re fucking up your changes here so you can return to?”
My mind instantly went to the king. His face, his voice, his hands on my body.
I shoved memories of him out of my mind. I couldn’t say anything at all. Did I have a good life? Maybe I did. At least I wasn’t forced to pretend to be anyone’s breeder.
But between here and the King’s palace, which is better?
Alpha Devon watched me with sharp gold eyes, seemingly discerning things I had no idea about.

“You won’t answer?” He asked.
My silence was his only reply.
He let out a long sigh of frustration. “Fine then. I’ll figure that out for myself. Where are you from? And which pack are you a member of?”
