Chapter 128
In someone else’s car, Maggie dozed off for a few minutes, but she wasn’t sleeping soundly. When she opened her eyes and saw Harry retracting his hand, she didn’t think much of it.
and asked, “Are we there?”
“Almost there.”
Two minutes later, the car arrived at the hospital. Harry carried Daisy out of the car and
said to Maggie: “Do you want me to have someone take you back?”
Maggie shook her head: “No need, I’ll drive back myself.”
Harry didn’t insist.
As they were about to leave, Maggie’s phone buzzed. It was a message from Franklin:
“Grandma is going to visit your grandmother later. Let’s all go back to the Miller family
together.”
This message needed a response.
She picked up the phone and called Franklin.
Franklin quickly answered: “Hello?”
Maggie: “I’ll go pick up Isabella and bring her over.”
By saying this, she was implying that she didn’t expect Franklin to want to go back to the Miller family with her..
After all, whenever she wanted him to go back with her, he always found excuses.
And her family didn’t necessarily want to see him either.
There was a brief silence on the other end, and then Franklin replied: “Okay.”

Once Maggie heard that, she hung up the phone and turned the car toward Franklin’s villa.
When she arrived, Isabella had already packed her bag and was ready.
Seeing Maggie arrive, she curled up next to Franklin without moving, turning her face away
from Maggie.
She was still angry that Maggie didn’t take her skiing last week.
Franklin looked at her and suddenly paused: “Did you not sleep well last night?”
Maggie didn’t expect him to ask this.
Maybe it was because she hadn’t put on makeup, and her hair was a bit messy. Her lack of sleep was obvious.
She coldly replied with a “Mm” and didn’t intend to elaborate. Just then, the housekeeper interjected: “Did you have insomnia? We have some excellent sleep–inducing incense. I can place it in your room later-”
Maggie explained: “I usually don’t have trouble sleeping. It was just that I went camping yesterday, and I’m not used to sleeping outdoors.”

Other people at the camp were indeed having a great time.

Isabella, however, felt irritated and even more upset.

Isabella grabbed her bag, jumped off the sofa, and snorted as she ran upstairs.
Maggie frowned but didn’t say anything. Before she could speak, Franklin put down the newspaper and calmly said: “Isabella, come back.”
Franklin’s tone didn’t carry any anger, but Isabella immediately stopped.
She pouted, turned around, and stood still without moving.
Franklin glanced over.
Isabella lowered her head, dragging her schoolbag, walking back in silence.
But she didn’t go to Maggie’s side.
She held Franklin’s hand and acted coquettishly, saying, “Daddy, come with us, okay?”
Franklin didn’t look at Maggie and lightly brushed Isabella’s small nose.
“Daddy has something to do. Be a good girl and listen to your mommy.”
“Got it.” Isabella said reluctantly, glancing at Maggie, and when she reached Maggie’s side, she reached out her hand for Maggie to hold.
This was her way of making up with her.
Maggie held her hand and, after saying goodbye to the butler, they left the house.
When they arrived at the Miller family home, Grandma Wilson had already been there for
a while.
Seeing that only the mother and daughter had arrived and not Franklin, Grandma Wilson immediately frowned. “Where is Frank? Is he busy again?”
Maggie: “Mm.”

Grandma Wilson angrily picked up her phone to call Franklin, but Maggie’s grandmother already knew that Maggie and Franklin were about to divorce, and she felt that there was no need for him to come over anymore.
She stopped Grandma Wilson, saying, “He’s busy with work. I understand, so don’t push
him.”
They entered the house, and Isabella went upstairs to play video games with Hugo.
Maggie stayed with the two grandmothers to chat.
When Grandma Wilson saw the two paintings Maggie’s grandmother had recently painted, she was delighted and, upon learning that they were created with the calligraphy and painting tools Maggie had given her for her birthday, she became very interested in the set.
She was so pleased that she mentioned, “What about Frank? Did he not prepare anything?”
“He did.” When mentioning Franklin, Maggie’s grandmother became a little unhappy, but still said, “He sent a set of master–grade jade jewelry. The embroidery picture he brought
was also quite good.”
Grandma Wilson smiled. “That’s better, at least he seems to have listened to me.”
Maggie didn’t say anything.
After a while in the study, the two grandmothers came out to the garden to have tea.
