By Sunday afternoon, Maggie planned to have dinner and head back home.

“Mag, I called Frank this morning and asked him to come to the resort tonight to pick you up. Has he contacted you?”
No, he hadn’t.
They had agreed to come together to the hot spring resort, but Franklin had yet to show up,
and he hadn’t even called her.
Not only that, Isabella also hadn’t contacted her after sneaking off the day before.
But she didn’t intend to mention that to the old lady to avoid trouble.
She said, “Yes.”
The old lady, relieved, said, “That’s good.”
After asking about the old lady’s health, they hung up the phone.
After the sun went down, Maggie had dinner at the hot spring resort.
The old lady had said that Franklin would come to pick her up, but by around 9 PM, when she was still waiting at the resort, Franklin had still not arrived.

Once in the car, Maggie felt somewhat drowsy.
She wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but she was suddenly woken by the sound of
her phone ringing.
It was a call from Jessica.
Maggie answered the phone, “Jessie?”
“Damn it! That bitch!”
Maggie paused, and Jessica quickly added, “Oh, don’t worry, I’m just cursing someone out.”
“What happened?”
“You know that charity gala I had to attend today? Well, I ran into your worthless father
and Julia there!”
“Just now, at the event, a girl started calling Julia a bitch and accused her of stealing her fiancé. She threw a glass of red wine on Julia, and the scene got pretty ugly.
The girl came from a good family and wouldn’t let up. She made a big fuss for quite a while. I was watching the drama unfold when I saw your husband suddenly show up!”
Maggie froze for a moment, and then heard Jessica gritting her teeth as she continued,
“This was a charity gala with an all–star lineup, live–streamed too. Though Julia and her
crew aren’t exactly big stars, when your husband showed up to support her and took her
away, that moment was caught on camera and broadcast live-”

Maggie opened it.
The gala had some performances, loud and chaotic, and the camera angle was too far, making it hard to hear what was being said.
However, the video clearly captured the scene where the girl approached Julia, argued with her, and poured red wine over her.
Then, the girl’s fiancé arrived and tried to stop the girl, leading to a heated argument.
Soon, the girl’s family arrived.
Jessica was right; the girl’s family seemed well–off, as they acted very arrogantly toward the Brown family. Logan lowered his posture, seemingly trying to reason with them, but the girl’s family didn’t want to listen at all. They kept insulting the Brown family.
The Brown family’s expressions grew increasingly unpleasant.
It seemed they had been verbally attacked by the girl’s family.
Just then, Franklin appeared.
He immediately took off his coat and draped it over Julia’s shoulders. Then he turned to the girl’s elders, said a few words, and carried Julia out without looking back.
As soon as Franklin appeared to protect Julia, the girl’s family’s attitude changed.
When Franklin began to leave, they chased after him, seemingly trying to explain, but the bodyguards assigned to the gala stopped them.
At the end of the video, the once arrogant girl’s family looked defeated and tried to ease the situation with the Brown family.
Logan and the others, however, gave them no attention at all, walking away behind
Franklin.
