She felt a little uneasy. “Grandma, I already brought my own-”
“Don’t worry, it’s not anything inappropriate. Open it and see for yourself.”
Maggie opened the box.
As she expected, it was a set of lingerie. It looked pretty similar to the kind she usually wore.
Maggie sighed in relief.
Grandma smiled and reminded her, “Make sure you wear it.”
Maggie hesitated for a moment, then said, “…Alright.”
Just as she agreed, Franklin came back into the room.
He noticed the box in her hands and paused. Maggie hurriedly covered the box.
Franklin acted as if he hadn’t seen the box, his expression calm as he shifted his gaze and
asked Grandma, “Grandma, is there something you need?”
“Of course, I came to hurry you both to the hot springs!” Grandma replied, pushing him lightly. “Hurry up and change into your clothes!”
Franklin paused but didn’t refuse. A while later, he emerged from the bathroom wearing a
bathrobe.
When Maggie saw him come out, she quickly went into the bathroom.
By the time she changed into her own bathrobe and emerged, Franklin was no longer in the
room.
Maggie was about to head to the hot spring pool when Grandma walked in from the neighboring room, smiling as she said, “Ting Shen is in the small pool on the left. Go ahead.

The small hot spring pool on the left was not large–barely three square meters. If both she and Franklin sat in the pool, they would inevitably be close enough to touch each other
without even fully stretching out their legs.
Grandma was clearly trying to encourage them to build some intimacy.
After all, they would both be dressed in fewer clothes. It was common for men and women to end up closer in such settings, which could easily lead to more than just a casual moment.
But-
Grandma insisted on supervising her. Maggie had no choice but to go in.
As she walked over, she saw that Franklin had already taken off his bathrobe and was sitting in the pool, soaking. When he saw her coming, his gaze fell on her.
Maggie was wearing the lingerie Grandma had given her.
At first, she hadn’t noticed much difference between this lingerie and what she usually wore. But when she took a closer look, especially at the underwear, she realized that the
fabric was much thinner than usual–almost half as much.
Though it wasn’t overtly revealing, it was certainly different from her usual style. Plus, it was red, and the fabric was very soft. With her fair skin, she looked incredibly sexy in it. She even felt a little uncomfortable when she looked at herself in the mirror.
However, she didn’t dislike it, so she went ahead and wore it.
Now, wearing the bathrobe over it, when she noticed Franklin’s gaze on her, she couldn’t help but remember what she was wearing beneath. She hesitated for a moment but then continued walking over as if nothing was wrong.
She reached the edge of the pool, placed her things down, and took off her bathrobe.
The lingerie she wore was now fully visible to Franklin.

Maggie believed that Franklin must have known the lingerie was from Grandma. The fact that she chose to wear it likely made him think she was hoping for something to happen
between them.
But in reality, she didn’t feel that way at all.
As for how he thought, that was his problem.
She had no reason to avoid wearing something she liked just because he might
misunderstand her intentions.
With that in mind, she didn’t feel uncomfortable as she shed her bathrobe. She didn’t even
pay much attention to the way Franklin looked at her.
She sat down in the hot spring, two seats away from him.
Franklin shifted his gaze away.
The two of them sat in silence, and Maggie could catch glimpses of his well–toned chest. She averted her gaze slightly.
Just as she thought they would remain quiet for the rest of their time, Franklin spoke up. “Do you want something to eat?”
The resort had prepared plenty of food for them.
He pushed a bowl of snacks toward her.
Maggie looked at the food and then said, “…Thank you.”
Franklin didn’t respond.
Maggie picked up a pastry and took a bite. She didn’t have much of an appetite, so after one piece, she didn’t continue. She pushed the bowl back toward him.
The water in the pool was clear, and as she pushed the bowl back, she noticed Franklin’s private area.

There was no reaction from him.
If it had been another woman, she might have thought he wasn’t interested. But Maggie
knew better.
It wasn’t that he couldn’t respond; it was simply that she didn’t attract him in the way other
women might.
This had nothing to do with what she was wearing.
Maggie had already anticipated this. With their impending divorce, she had no intention of pursuing anything further with him. The reason she wore the lingerie was that she knew it
wouldn’t affect him at all.
Without making it obvious, she pulled her gaze away.
The weather was perfect for soaking in hot springs. After a while, she began to feel a bit drowsy from the comfort of the water.
However, she didn’t fall asleep. She did feel tired, though, so she stood up and said to Franklin, “I’m going to leave first.”
“Mm,” he murmured.
Maggie got out of the pool, put her bathrobe back on, and left.
As she was heading to the elevator, she bumped into Grandma.
“Finished already?” Grandma asked.
